Not sure where to start this thread, but after reading up many cases of 240s being stolen, I was wondering if there's any insurance that can cover the parts you've put in your car. Luckily the project I'm building is clean title, I will be putting full coverage on it. Being a 16 year old car I'm sure it's value is pretty much shit. I was looking into getting Lo Jack for security, but is it really worth it? Reason I'm stressing on it being stolen is that I'm gonna be DDing it.

Forgot to mention that I'm gonna be adding kill switches on it also, but is there anything that can prevent from it being towed.

Batt cut off switch, fuel shut off, (both hidden)
...or C4 explosive under the car incase they try to tow it.
Quick release wheel doesn't work...ever.

LoJack for it taking a ride on a rollback.... alarms are just annoying and nobody pays attention to them. I found that my Ruger is a great theft deterrent.

I got almost everything DEI has to offer for security measures.
Viper 2 way alarms system (remote paging up to 1 mile radius)
Viper Smart Start GPS tracking (realtime tracking, and alerts via GSM directly to my cellphone) it'll alert my phone if any of my sensors go off.
i have almost everything DEI has to offer as for sensors.
Audio sensor - sets off alarm/alert when my window is broken.
digital tilt motion sensor - if my car is jacked up in any angle 1degree or moved it will send an alert.
backup battery for my GPS system and seperate backup battery for my Alarm system.
Dual zone shock sensor - extra guard without having to make your alarm so sensitive.
ultrasonic sensor - detects air movement within the cabin. i have to disable this one on windy days but its nice to have.
so if any of these go off, it alerts my phone and my remote. then of course i have my mossberg with rubber buck shots. not trying to kill anyone but i will cripple them badly if i have too.

LOL @ Reborn :]
Security is important. Only so much we can do to protect. But alarm is worth the shot of atleast attempting to secure your car and as stated a switch for fuel pump.
Just please dont put the sticker of the manufacture of your alarm on the car. Will only assist in the defusing of your alarm . ;)

What if you sleeping or whatever? Does the call or alert go to anyone else if designated? Sounds like a more confidential Lojack which sounds interesting..

dont matter if they know what i have. try finding it. i have 2 backup battery's seperately for the alarm and the gps system. all located in various parts of the car. yes its not impossible but not gonna be easy. plus the car is never more then 5 yards away from me and my shotty when im home.

its an app on my phone and i have it set with a pretty loud/annoying alert tone on my droid so it'll wake me up. even a regular text message chime wakes me up. not a real deep sleeper.
you second question. i can add other users to get the same alerts but its just directed to my phone and remote.
