okay here goes...

i drove home from work on friday, parked car, never tured on till tonight.

i started up, let it heat up..then drove

i noticed no boost..so im like WTF

i get on the free way...drive..and it boost at 5 psi...then i stop, do it again, goes up to about 7

ever since the swap was finished, it always boosted at 9 psi...but today it never got all the way up there

i poped the hood, cehcked for leaks...nothing...revved the engine, BOV sounded./.so im like..okay it should be fine..maybe something was frozen and needed to heat up..

WTF happened?

*there is a exhaust leak in the EGR(does that play a factor?)

any input wil be greatly appreciated..and thank you in advance..

I have only heard this so im not 100% sure but i have heard that weather changes, especially extreme ones like a snow storm can have affect on your boost and i've heard that's it's normal. Maybe it has to do something with the cold afftecting the tension of the spring in your wastegate? I dont know. That's all i can think of.

give this dude a teddy bear

lubricate that spring and the hinge if you can get to it. my old car would offer little or no boost when it was very cold (i mean like 40 below. note 40 below celsius and 40 below farenheit are the same thing. if you spit outside, it shatters against the ground.)

anyhow my old car had this problem. I always made sure to keep things lubricated and it was nice cause damn did that thing ever LOVE really really cold air

some people say there is, some people say there isnt an EGR...but theres a hole that i gota plug...i guess people call it AIV too..i dont know..im off that topic..

twitchy:
i will lube as soon as its bearable outside(too cold)

tanks for the input...all of you

*update* today, i drove to work..felt pretty normal..but not 100% sure considering i only had my car back for less than a week, and i didnt get to drive it a lot because of the snow. im gona have my mechanic look at it some time this week to make sure its still straight.

again, thanks guys!

Depends on the year of manufacture of the engine.
I have a 95' UK S14 and mine has the EGR system on it but this was deleted on the 97' onward (kouki) engines but they got an extra cat.
