I have a low post count becasue i troll. so dont flame.:bite:

I have a set of mckinney rb25 mounts laying around that im useing for my rb30 whenever it gets here and i have time to build it. But i just bought a rb20 for poops and giggles. The question is will the 25 mounts work with the 20 motor?

BTW its a S14

and another question, the driveshaft i have is for a rb25 into s13 and i was told its too short but all i need is a j30 diff. True / false

The mounts (brackets) should be the same, so they should bolt up without much effort.

Idk about the rb25 drive shaft though.

Edit:

I just looked up mckinney's mounts and realized they don't include the motor brackets like zero lift and tophat mounts, so rb20 and rb25 mounts are different because of the angles like already stated.

I have an RB20. I'm pretty sure that the mounts are different. For example if you wanted to change out crossmembers you will need an R32 crossmember for the RB20 and an R33 crossmember or he RB25. Pretty sure aftermarket mounts are motor specific as well.

The mounting pads are angled differently between RB20/26 compared to RB25s. RB20s have a sharper angle while RB25s are almost flat like plates. If you're using McKinney RB25 mounts, you'd have to use RB25 engine brackets.

I'd imagine RB30 engine brackets are similar to the RB20 brackets...

I know i have some rb26 engine mounts somewhere too, well guess i'll try it out anyway and let you know what happens.

Could anyone verify if the blocks are similar when it comes to mounting position. For example if I wanted to use a block simply for mock up, would any RB block work? I need to mock up engine mounts for an RB26 conversion, but cheap RB26 blocks are hard to find, If I new the RB20/25 block would work, it would open up more possibilities. Thanks guys
