So I purchased a used S14 VLSD w/ABS pumpkin and installed it into my non-ABS S14 with no problems. I took it for a test drive and everything runs great except for when I'm in 4th gear, there's a like a squealing sound from underneath me only when I step on the gas, it happens about 90% of the time no matter what speed, though at higher speeds around 65+ it goes away. Sometimes, 5th would make the same sound, but let's say about 10% of the time. This is my 1st limited-slip unit so I'm not sure what to expect sound-wise. What is causing this? If it helps any, the VLSD has 115K miles on it as well as my car, I added 1.5 qts. Redline 75w90 gear oil, I torqued everything down to spec with a torque wrench except for the propeller shaft bolts which I guesstimated the 40 ft/lbs with an open end wrench because I couldn't find a way to get a socket on those bolts, this is probably what could be the problem. Anyway, if anyone can help me, I would highly appreciate it. Thanks.
