So I will be delivering a car in Fresno, CA on tuesday. After that I will be carless since my wife cannot follow me out there due to school and our kids school. On top of that Im looking at purchasing a car in LA. How would you guys get from Fresno to LA?

Flights - average 250.00 one way
Train/bus - 40.00 - but god knows how long that trip will be
Taxi - 650.00 Lmao

I would rather rent a truck with a dolly, haul the car to Fresno, drop it off and then pick up the car in LA and haul it back to Vegas.

If you have to take Greyhound. It won't be more than $50 to LA. Train could work as well but it will cost you more. I have taken Greyhound to the bay area to pick up a car and it cost me $56.
Forget flying unless you like spending money. Plus the fact that the nearest big airport would indeed be Sac. Yes there are flights from Fresno on small airlines( read taking your life in your hands). LOL

Greyhound +1. My brother goes to UCMerced and he comes down to OC once a month on the Greyhound. Inexpensive but just takes awhile. No biggie.

i dropped a car off in santa clarita and took amtrack back to sacramento. bus for 2 hours and train for 6 hours. it was long as hell, but it was so much more inexpensive than any other alternative that i couldn't pass it up. and on the train i was able to drink some beers haha

I'd do this.

With the cost of getting a dolly and gas etc it'll probably come out about to more than that.
