So I have an SR in my S13 and the temp sensor that goes to the gauge went bad so I went down to a local parts shop and bought a sensor for a 92 sentra se-r. Installed it and it seems to be working. What I dont get is that according to my gauge the car is warming up extremely fast. Like at full running temp within a minute. Any ideas why it would do that. My reason for concern is that its so unnaturally fast.

same happens when you use sr sensor when you do the swap. you need to use the KA one. i had to switch them out when i did my first swap years ago, i was tripping out thinking i was overheating. get a ka temp sensor

I was thinking that it was something like that but the weird thing is that within a minute it hits about the halfway mark than just stays there. It doesn't go up even after driving some or letting it warmup more and thats what I don't get.
