I'm in the US military stationed in Germany and I'm going to use this post to document my build.

This is my first S-chassis build up and I'm starting with a 1994 JDM RPS-13 with an SR20DET blacktop.

My build goals are modest for now, I’m aiming for around 300whp with the mods that I have planned for now and then when I get back to the states I’m going to get a bigger turbo and crank up the power... unless someone wants to donate a t28 or bigger to me and then I can have more fun sooner.

When I bought the car it was mostly stock under the hood except for the HKS SSQV and RSR down pipe and exhaust with a high flow cat. It also has the factory Blitz turbo timer so I'm not going to need to buy one of those. Oh, and it came with a Blitz FMIC but thats not installed.

In the rear end there’s a Nismo VLSD and I have the receipt for that and all accompanying paperwork from the dealership in Japan where it was purchased and installed.

The suspension has been mostly changed to Cusco arms and strut bars and some HKS coil overs.

As for the exterior theres some generic 5 spoke wheels and some custom body damage. With this shell I have no desire to fix the paint and body work as I am just going to junk it except for the parts that I bring back with me.

I'm only in Germany for another 18 months and then I'm going to rip apart the car and pick up a new 240 shell when I get back to the states and swap everything over.

I will be TDY for the next 5 months so for now I’m just getting some parts shipped over here so I should be busy when i get back.

So far I have ordered:
- Isis short shifter
- Z32 MAF and pigtail
- Walbro fuel pump

What I still need to order in the next couple of months:

- Deatschwerks 550cc injectors
- AEM wideband
- EBC of some sort ( I cant decide if I want Tru-boost or EVC-S)
- Some form of tune probably Emance or Enthalpy ROM tune (but not 100% positive)
- Maybe some cams and head studs and head gasket (that depends on the budget)

The parts that I plan on keeping so far are:
( but I’m still learning so I don't know the value of everything and what I want to do in the end)
- 180sx taillights
- 180sx quarter windows
- 180sx aero
- Gauge cluster
- Exhaust
- Suspension mods
-VLSD
- Drivetrain
- All the stuff i put on it
- Oh, and the R33 floor mats that i have in it.

So thats about all I have for now. I will get some pics up tomorrow and if you want to see anything on it let me know. I’m going to be updating the thread as I order more stuff and then my big pile of parts when I get home in February.

So this is going to be my build / teardown / build thread. Thank you for reading and please let me know what you think.

Here are some pics of my last build, a 2008 Altima coupe. It’s nothing amazing but it was fun for a while. Two days after It was sold the new owner ripped the bumper off on a speed bump.

I had just basic bolt-ons on that one
- Fujita intake
- Stillen exhaust
- Sitllen sway and strut bars
- Eibach springs
- Fox Marketing front bumper
- 350z wheels
- HID kit and full interior light bulb swap to LEDs

Hey there,

You happen to buy the red 180 that was for sale down there? I'm up at Spangdahlem. I got my S14 here. If you need any help let me know I've been here for 3 years. There is a place in Longstuhl that tunes pretty well. He's a licensed Nistune rep as well. So you might want to think about that. Anyways hit me up 015123566814, or PM.

P.S: before they start this might get locked, they have rules for starting a build thread here.

Build Threads

"Almost everyone enjoys building their cars and sharing that experience, as well as checking out others' builds for inspiration. Sadly, far too many users have a tendency to do half-hearted builds and either rarely update or update with trivial progress. In the interest of keeping the Chat forum clear of three hundred 'Install SR, ziptie aero, rattlecan paint' threads, incomplete, or in-progress build threads are not allowed. If you have completed your build, wrangle all those pictures into a post and tell us about it, but make sure the build is finalized. If you insist on having an in-progress build, Premium members have a specialized subforum for that specific purpose."
