i have mb battles 18x9.5 +15.
i added 30mm spacers in the rear and rolled the fenders.
now its time to put a widebody! (:
i wanted a 40mm to clear the wheels but cant find any.
only 30 and 50mm
its obvious 30mm fenders will rub.

anybody have a clue how 50mm will look?
to much of a gap?

I had 32mm made at a local wheel shop. $120 for the set. Hubcentric to my rims. Inland Tire and Wheel in San Bernardino....I bet there are hundreds of shops around you??

solution: buy smaller spacers, or remove them all together. they fit to begin with.

You only get overs when you NEED them to clear awesomly wide wheels

Not "how much should i space my cheap generics to fit this widebody I really don't need?"

Duh

But seriously. Spacers that large are unsafe and look awful.

This isn't some guy being an internet dick. He speaks the truth. Please, keep the Battles and stock fenders, or get proper wheels for the widebody.

If you aren't rocking 18x11-12 with 0 or negative offsets you have no reason to run a widebody.

10-06-2011, 11:53 PM
a 9.5 wheel and you want over fenders wtf ? Have you not looked in the wheel and tire thread? That would look goofy as fuck with a 50MM rear fenders, even the 30MM overs with a massive spacer and tiny ass wheel.

Get some wheels that serve a purpose in using over fenders, I have them on my car but I also have a 10.5 rear rim with a 295 tire. IMO it over fenders on a tiny wheel would look stupid with a big spacer. your fitment would be shit and look like ass.

definitely understand you guys getting on him bout running spacers and widebody for battles. but if your fenders and quarter panels are all messed up, why not run a widebody and cover up the damage while your waiting to get bigger wheels.
just my opinion...

maplejesse

then run 30mm widebody fenders, and smaller spacers

??????????

KOUKIboy
10-07-2011, 02:06 AM
30mm rear fenders, 17X10 +12 FN's and called it a day....
Because honestly the wheels that you have are gonna look shitty as hell on 50mm overs, and like previous people said running a spacer that big is unsafe, your studs can break and you'll be seeing your wheel rolling past you, if you dont have another alternative just go with 30mm and a 15mm or 20mm spacer.....

Why not just get smaller spacers?

He would receive the same advice from those in this thread. Everybody that shed some light in this thread is exactly what I would have wrote in that thread.

So please lock this up, OP isn't taking other's advice in his own thread nor will he receive different advice in the wheel fitment questions thread.

You do know you can bow in the fenders to fit whatever spacers you get right? Put the wheels on with whatever spacers you have, install the fenders riveting only the top of the rear fenders, you can pull the bottoms away from each other so the arches will push in to fit your setup.

Only good thing battles are for are spares, rather be drifting on MB's then driving home because of no more tires

BUT the general knowledge is don't post your car on them, nobody wants to see that shit

I want to see that shit. Shut the fuck up and view another thread that has what YOU LIKE in it.

God fucking damn hella flush leet lame ass motherfuckers dropping 500 per wheel on wheels then hating on people who think THAT shit is stupid. Newsflash, everyone outside of your scene thinks that shit snob attitude is fucking stupid. Scenester. Fuck your baller shit and the fixed gear you rode in on.

Edit: If people WANTED to roll like you, they would. Help the man out or gtfo.

FYI OP, i think you should do it. I thought 45mm existed but like someone else said you can bow rears out or in to fit whatever you want to run. Bolt on spacer is fine. Just make sure you buy quality spacers or at least put higher grade studs in Normally what i've seen is the wheel spacer studs will snap long before the hub studs will and that's with cheap ebay no-name joints. It's not super common but does happen. Easy fix with off the shelf parts. Glad you enjoy building cars for yourself. Keep doing what you are doing! Best of luck. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you and hope to get overs soon. Every time i pull up to my driveway and the headlights shine on my 1/4's i'm like "fuck i need overs but if i get those, i will need spacers. Sounds like a plan!" Do work!

Exactly, can we just close this thread now?

Only idiots/toolbags buy overfenders and then buy wheels (that fit stock bodies fine) and tries to make them fit with unnecessarily huge spacer.

If your sole purpose of getting spacers is to make your wheels remain flush with your fenders, you are simply doing it wrong.

NoPistons!

Toolbag/idiot reporting here.

If it's a driftcar, anything goes. If it's not, you are faking the funk.

Not everyone wants to pay to build a mag coverage/legend status car all at once.

My 1/4's are smashed, it's a drift car. Dont see anything wrong with being a lazy fuck slapping glass over a mess and buying spacers to not be sunken battleshits. That saves a good grip of change so an owner can be somewhat satisfied for a little while, you know? Relax, bro. The internets doesn't care about your lame opinion.

Towlie, can't help but troll a LITTLE bit. Glad you dont take shit seriously.

yea a lot of times people having 600 dollar wheels a piece dont even drive the car the way they present it. MB wheels are fine for drifting, fine for spares. im sorry, but not everyone can afford to drift on 3000$ set of wheels. Its baller, stupid and excessive. it shows you are filthy rich. if you are so uber leet rich, SHUT THE FUCK UP. nobody needs to hear you rub in about MB wheels being shit. they are not that heavy, sturdy, CHEAP motorsports wheels. do you want a real light/inexpensive wheel?? buy rpf1 or fn's. but nooooooooo you cant do that because it is "played out" and "ugh fns again".

its a drift car. it WILL be destroyed. the wheels WILL be fucked up. get the fuck over it and take hella flush shit out. so much pussy shit here i feel like im floating in tampons reading through threads

and no, 30mm spacers are not "retarded". you are. dont do a widebody, if you have to have wide fenders because

a) you run 275s because you are ls1
b) your shit is so fucked up you need something to make it right
c) 50mm fenders are for people with baller wheels. not mbs.

get 30mm d-max or b-magic or whatever and call it a day. why even bother asking here, you know you will be flamed.

Glass is a semi-solid liquid. Older homes that are 100+ years old have glass that is thicker at the bottom than at the top because of this.

oh didnt you know? im not sure where you live at but go find an old building or a church, preferably 100 years old or so. if it has ORIGINAL glass it will look thinner on top. gravity..... especially in europe in old cathedrals and such, windows that are painted have such shapes. it is pretty cool. problem is finding glass that has NOT being replaced.
