lights dimming?

I have a 90 240sx fastback, whenever I'm parked and turn the steering wheel the lights dim and the RPM drops a little? along with having power windows the lights also dim and the RPM drops a couple too. is this normal?

When ur RPM's drop it gives less juice to the alternator so less juice to lights in general so they dim. could be your timing but im buzzed talking out my ass =]]]

Power steering. If you hook up the power steering switch you won't have this issue.

Thanks guys. but I have power steering already. what else could it be?

Are you not listening to me? I just said it's your power steering. There is a switch on the bottom of the high pressure side hose with a harness attached to it. 9 times out of 10 its probably just dangling there in your engine bay somewhere. If you don't want your RPMs to dip anymore when you turn your wheel you need to connect it.

Look at the FSM for more information on how its connected.
