buying digital camera

sup guys. well at the nissan fetival i dropped my digi cam and now it doesnt turn on. the camera was a olympus c-700. a awsome camera. but now im looking for a new one. ive been looking at the new olympus c-740 $381 from www.newegg.com. what are you thoughts? im looking for a decent camera that takes great pics and not too pricey. the c-740 is my last resort. but since i have owned an olympus before and it was only a 2.1mp i was impressed. so let me know whats out there. i need one asap. thanks!

hmmm I havent been looking in awhile.. most of the ones I want are stupidly pricey (digital SLRs) but fuji has a finepix model with a 10X optical zoom for less than 400 (i think Best Buy had it for 379 or something) thats more realistically priced. (I like ZoOM lenses waaaaaaay to much... more important than megapixels too me)

i have a nikion coolpix 5000, i like it, 5.0 megapixel i believe, i wanted the nikon 5700, but i just couldnt justify spending over 800 on a camera, that and id rather put the money in my car. i spent close to 500 for mine.
