I am going to pick up a S14 next week, just the thing is that it needs to be towed. I was looking at the uhaul dollies and it says that it is not an available option. What are some other options or can I even pull it off with the dolly. Its a far distance so tow trucks are probably going to be out of the question.

tow dolly is a two wheel machine, it is really only for FWD cars.
spring the 10$ more for an actual auto transport.

that means
A) your tow vehicle is not qualified to tow the weight
B) they dont have any available, meaning there are none at that location.
OR C) you are renting a small truck to tow with from uhaul, must be the 12' truck i beleive, maybe even 14

I've looked through several locations in NJ and in CT, both say the same thing and I'd be using a Ford E-250 with a 2 ton hitch.

dollies are bad idea unless you have the drive shaft disconnected from the diff. Then your fine. But its probably telling you you cant tow an s14 on a normal trailer because of ground clearance. Those trailers are rather tall and you need to jack the piss up out of them and still use boards. It will fit for sure if the s14 is stock. My slammed hatch fit with boards to make the ramps like 10 ft longer and a floor jack under the hitch of the truck jack to the max.

I don't think it matters as long as the car is manual. However, I think you can rent a full trailer from U-Haul for a little bit more.

I just rented the auto transport trailer from U-haul for $67 with the $8 insurance. I rented it at 8am and brought it back by 4:30pm that same day. If they ask, just say your moving it locally and returning it to the same spot you're renting it from.

Still need to disconnect the driveshaft.

i rented a automover for my s13, was slammed and i had no problem getting it on the trailer, and it was non op and we pushed it on. told them it was for a s13 and used my dads 1500 chevy to tow it.
