My 1991 240sx with a sr20det died in the middle of traffic and I have looked all over this site and others for ideas, I have checked for spark fuel ECU code and they all are fine, fuel pressure is fine when it reaches and leaves the injectors, ECU doesn't give me a code and all fuses are fine, It will turn over but it won't always start and when it does it last about 15 seconds, sounds like hell then dies. Please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You check out the MAF and make sure it's sending/receiving correct signals or didn't get knocked off?

The MAF is still attached and to my knowledge is sending the signal, but to be sure how would I properly check, ( I previously checked if the MAF was dead or almost dead )

The MAF was cleaned with Electronics Cleaner and the starter and alternator are like new. This is why I can't think of the problem :-/

I checked and rechecked the Timing and the CAS and made sure it was timed, it now starts, wont rev past 2500rpm and is making a terrible noise (from the engine and the exhaust, sounds like I don't have an exhaust) and a rancid burning smell that I can't figure out.

borrow a maf from someone and try theres. Sounds like the issue when they go bad. They wont let the motor rev past 2500rpm's. But it will throw a code. Check your codes again.

Fixed it, The speed sensor was loose, the CAS was off by 10 degrees battery was grounding midway and blowing fuses everywhere. Thank you all for the help! Finally going to back on the road!
