Midwest 240sx owners

Hey, are there any of you fellow 240sx owners in the Midwest area? I'm going to school at UofI in Champaign and just wanted to get together with some other enthusiasts.

im in davenport, ia which is what.. 3hours or so from champaign? i dont know exactly but its somewhere in that range.. they have a chicago meet every few months you should check it out i made it once it was a good time!

Fellow Chicagoan here, I'm out in west burbs of Chicago (Bolingbrook to be exact).

Expect a meet in April, and a drift event in July (possibly earlier).

i live in st louis missouri and go to school in springfield...

we are hopefully going to have a few meets in stl and ill try to make it to a few of the ones in chicago, hopefully to a drift event (autox isnt really my thing anymore, i need more excitement)

enzorwd - you ever have your car in town? maybe i have seen it. i've got the grey zenki hatch w/ black lip spoiler and gunmetal old school 300zx rims (so old school they're 4 bolt!). as of right now the car only comes out on weekends and evenings - but if you see a crazy guy going to class when it's 20 degrees out on an old school red yamaha motorcycle, that's me!

i got s14 motor out of the car, with 120k on it, its the same as a s13 ka externaly, i heard they changed some stuff inside the head, its go tone exhaust manifold stud snapped off in it, but if you wanted it, it would be easy to get out........i m in rhinelander Wisconsin......

I'll try to come up to as many meets in Chicago as possible, especially if they are on the same days as Shows b/c we are always up there anyway for shows.

First couple meets are gonna be more of a what have you done to your car over winter thing, and introduce the events, I'mma have to drag Rob and the rest of the ClubFR crew down for some recruitment.

Then I'll try and set something up the day before an event so people can stay a weekend if they'd like, but more on that once the year turns over and the first meet is planned.

Well if you see me rolling around right now, it'll have some black enkei meshes with polished lip in 4x4 mode ;) , but it'll be rollin with 2 tear drops and 2 7 spokes on blizzaks once I change em.

Also got cusco tension rod bar on, and bought a muffler need to go to exhaust shop and get the piping done. Prolly do that in a month, leaving for vacation next friday, gotta leave this cold weather for some summer weather :).

And I have talked to a few people every once in a while.

Yeah, we'll definitely have to make a roadtrip to Chicago. That would be fun.

lol. Well. It has taken a little bit longer than I expected. No offense to Alan. He's been busy at work and he was very sick for a week but I really wish I had the car back by now. It's going to snow pretty soon and plus it's tough putting out the money for the car and having nothing to show for it! But I have patience and stuff happens. There were some other small issues too but now we're just waiting on the exhaust system (the one I need is backordered and my old one is ruined) and I need a hose that goes to the slave cylinder. The car runs good though.

Hay all. Lived in Northwest Wisconsin most of my life, but now in the Twin Cities...

1998 S14. Seriously thinking about doing a swap. Haven't decided on blacktop or rb yet. But that won't happen until spring/summer as it's stored in the garage most of the time(unless we get a clear day up here).

Anyone know of a good/experienced shop or garage in Wisconsin or Minnesota?

I also want to do the S15 conversion. As the car is now, the body is stock with just some minor bolt-ons;

Injen intake, header? - not sure brand, borla exhaust, tokiko shocks, eibach springs/coilover? - not sure brand. Everything else is stock.

I'm an industrial design major, and wutangben is in advertising. Are you going into Engineering?

Yes, there is an autocross club, but it's not affiliated with the school. The Campaign County Sports Car Club has quite a few autocrosses every year. They are usually held at the Rantoul airport about 15 minutes north of Champaign. They quit over winter of course, but will start up again in the sping. They're all a great bunch of guys. Hope to see another 240sx next year!

All you Midwest people need to come to this board every once in awhile http://pub10.ezboard.com/bmidwest240club to see whats going on in the Midwest. The website is down until January when I get a new host and its a little dead at the moment but the Midwest 240 club has some plans for a few decent size meets this summer. We are already working on one! At least one big meet in St. Louis and one bug meet in Indy are in the works. A few people on here remember some of our old meets in Kansas City and I am sure have some very good stories.... lol

Which burbs do you live in. They are usually set up on Zilvia and posted on all other 240 forums. Check back April and you'll see em.

I heard of the KC meet, sounded like fun, I'll try and make it out to some of those meets.

There are All Nissan meets at Busse. Not many 240 owners go. Usually me, Duffman, and 1 or 2 other 240 owners.

I made it to one Chicago Meet last year, it changed my life! Even though no one would talk to me because I'm so old, I learned a lot, and got a lot of ideas.

I'll show you youngsters this year, my convertible will be off the jackstands next weekend with a 5 speed Fidanza/Centerforce/B&M conversion and I just took delivery of a Header & Catback.
