I have hatch that has alot of ticking noises in the rear of my car when going over big or small bumps, its been doing this since i bought it and have no idea what it is, ive chaned brake pads, j30 swap and replaced all my arms with aftermarket ones( ecept the lcas, those have new bushings on them) and it still ticks, is it my rear calipers?

are you sure its not your diff or hatch making noise?

I know its not the hatch because the noise is coming from the bottom rear of my car, i dont think its coming from the diff especialy when i changed diffs and is stll making the same noise

Axle joints worn? When the CV joints start to go in a FWD car, they'll tick/click when making tight turns and when the suspension is compressed alot. Our rear axles last a lot longer than a FWD's CV joint bc they don't have the same range of motion (no turning unless HICAS) It may not be them as many of us have 200k+ miles and they are still fine, but it's just a thought.

my s14 has been doing that for ages, tho lately i've been noticing is much more often and usually much louder than it used to be... sounds as if the coils aren't bolted when going over a bump or abrubtly pushing & releasing the gas pedal ... replaced cv axles, replaced coils, but noise still persists. annoying as heck

Yeah, I've been noticing this as well. I hate hearing noises and not knowing what it is.

clutch stand... bring the hand brake up to your stomach.. slowly press brakes.. rev to 2500 rpm let out, then do fatt burnout.

sounds like your brake strength is dying... your brake pump is gona bust a seal cause you can't squeeze on the rear brakes.. they have to attract to rubber coated epoxy particles laying around.. exhaust heat and road debris stop your rear brakes

Possibly a half shaft or driveshaft support bearing?

i think i could be the calipers because i changed the pads not to long ago

Possibly a half shaft or driveshaft support bearing?

wouldnt it be more of a clunk? than a tick
