I have seen a kit to put an Xterra/Frontier supercharger on a KA24DE engine. Has anyone done a Rotrex supercharger on a KA yet? I couldn't find it via search here or Google. Their biggest S/C can go up to 400hp.

theres been a few people on nico and ka-t.org talk about it but not sure if they ever did it or not most people just run a turbo cause its cheap and can make power but the people that would probably buy something like that normally just go for a ls1 or RB swap.

check out ka24der.com. they sell a bolt on kit you just need to provide a supercharger from an 02-04 xterra or frontier and a few other small things

I've mentioned this in almost every supercharged thread on here and no one seems to bite at it. I don't see why everyone runs for that Eaton blower so quickly (outside cost I suppose). It's hard to fit, difficult to plumb a water cooler, its small and inefficient at higher revs, and takes up a bunch of room.
I've contemplated S/C my SR, mainly b/c I don't have a KA anymore but haven't gone through with it yet; maybe the next time I rebuild it. However, the Rotrex unit is probably the best solution. They're small enough that they don't look awkwardly placed next to a 4cyl. and the airflow rates are low enough to utilize a higher P/R; which these puppies are more than capable of. I'm actually a Rotrex OEM, using them for a non-automotive application, but I've seen what they can do; they're really nice pieces.
A picture for fun. This is a C30-94 next to one of my beat SR piston.
