View Full Version : No more black stripe

I took off the black stripe that runs the whole way around the bottom of s13s. ahh it looks soo much better. I used a hair dryer and heated up the adheasive on the back of the stripe and it peeled right off. Although i did burn my hands a few times it was well worth it. I have longed for my car to be solid red. I will post some pictures as soon as i get off my lazy ass and run to the store and get some batteries for my camera.

I hate you. You just added to my list of things to do. did you use a heat gun or a hair dryer?

so would you say this was pretty easy? I was thinking about doing this on my white fast back, but since its white, i always think there will be like crap left over under the sticker, was it pretty clean under the sticker?

Personally, I just use the 3M adhesive bug/tar remover...you'll have it off in like 10 min. Stuff woroks great...or a bumper sticker remover works well also. Happy Stripping boys!

It looks better with the stripe instead of a ridge, I've seen a car like mine w/o em.

As you can see my car is in need of lowering among other things, but all in due time, its winter now...

haha ur guy's cars looks like its for off road...oh sorry no baggin...n e ways what i did was just seal the tops and painted over the back thingy ma bobber and saved the whole burnin the hand issue..plus u can always paint it back to black if u dont like...who likes that thing n e ways?i say just paint over it! and if u have hicas..definetaly paint over it and sell it so that the guy who buys it tried to drift with it will crash and burn!:axe:

Yes i would say that it is relativly easy. minus the hand burning part. I think the 89-90 240s look good with the stripe but the 91-94 240s look best with it off. And yes i know my car needs lowered, Im 15 no license and that is not my top priorty, even tho Santa is bringing some nice kyb agx shocks and tein s techs, happy stripping fellas

looks sweet. i got stripes on my s14, been too lazy to get up and go get some go-gone form walmart so that i could take the ugly stripes off. maybe i will today. sounds like a good idea, since of all the rain outside. hmph. makes a good garage day. alrite yall, ill post pics if the plan falls through! im not tryna jack the thread, dont trip! oh, and can you tell santa to come to my house to drop off some agx's and s.techs too? haha...peace!
