I just bought a 1989 Nissan 240SX with 150k miles and holds a clean title. Turns out the guy has owned it since 1991 and he bought it from his brother. The car came with the original owners manual and key. It runs great. Just has a couple dings here and there. It also never been lowered.

But here's my question, probably a stupid one lol. Well it sits tilted. The passenger side is higher than the driver. I was wondering why that is. I paid $1500 for the car if anybody is wondering. Thank you

The reason for this it being titled is that its old so that means alot of bushings may be bad and shocks may be blown also also was the previous owner a heavy person? since it was the driverside lower

probably because its a 22 year old car and the shocks are gone. you are supposed to replace shocks about every 50k miles but no body does.

Oh that makes sense. The owner was probably around 200lbs. If the shocks were blown wouldn't the ride be bouncy? It's drive really smooth.

More specifically, that is the lean that EVERY car will eventually get as it sits on stock suspension.
Bushings, springs, struts and the like WILL wear out, and when you consider that the driver of the car will add anywhere from 150-200something pounds to that particular side/corner of the car over the course of tens of thousands of miles, it is only natural that it leans like that.
Time to get in there and replace some worn gear.

Cool score, clean ones for reasonable prices are getting harder to find these days.

Thanks. Yep, 240's have definitely went up in price over the past couple years. I guess I got lucky!

Cosign.

Time to get some coilovers or a nice spring strut combo.
