I just got a vlsd out of a silvia and noticed it didnt come with the bushings... The ones by the drive shaft input. Dose anyone know where I could possibly get poly bushings or how much the stockers cost?

Thanks,
SAM

Stockers will probably run you $20 easily at the dealer and I'm not sure if you can buy poly bushings for the diff. I'd contact PDM (www.pdm-racing.com) to find out for sure. AFAIK, the R200V from a Silvia is the same as the USDM assembly so maybe you could salvage the ones out of your stock diff if they aren't all mangled.

The bushings aren't pressed in. There just sandwiched in when you remove those two front bolts the rubber bushings fall right out.

I contacted PDM and they said they didnt have that part available... The circular bushings I have and wont be a problem to swap over. The cylinder shaped ones that are pressed in are the ones I will have to get. Thanks for all the help!

if you scroll all the way down, there are pictures of the bushings and stuff you need, but those are fucking expensive. I got bolts, washers, and all those parts you need from the dealer for about 70 bucks. It's still expensive. Is this new differential from an S14? I can get the part #'s if you need. I think I have them somewhere.

That is expensive! I think im going to try to salvage the stock ones from my old diff. $70 is even alot considering I paid $75 for the whole diff. Thanks for the link.

Mikes14240sx was right! the bushings arnt pressed in on a silvia differential. Reason why I thought they where is because I had a 91 q45 lsd that did have them pressed in. Anyway I got the diff installed with one other problem. I assumed the finned cover would fit but it didnt. The studs where too close together, maybe because its a S15 diff? So I used the stock non finned cover for now.
There is a difference in the way the car drives with the lsd. It seems to accelerate more smoothly and I can maintain a higher speed in turns.

Now time to upgrade the rest of the drive train!
