i want an air intake for my car.
We bought one for my dads civic and it sounds cool, he says it feels peppier too, and im going to order one from ebay
i saw a show once where they pulled the throttlebody out of a mustang when they put an intake on and "bored it out" well how do you do that, or can you do it yourself? Is it hard to get off??
as well, does a 300ZX throttlebody fit the 240SX or was i mistaken?

boring just means making the hole bigger so get a dremel tool or sanding tool of some sort and make the hole bigger. you might feel a little better response and hp gains if you bore out your throttle body. also, an intake will give you 2-3 hp. hope this helps.
btw, your vlsd sticker is no cheesier than a vtec sticker.

I am pretty sure that the 240sx is one of the larger series of TB's on Nissans line. I am unsure of the size for a Infiniti Q45 but I dont imagine it being much bigger. Its a big performance mod for the 80's 300zx boys and older z cars to adopt 240sx TB's onto their cars. They say by doing this their cars are capable of flowing enough air for 450hp! So I dont see the point in boring it but, too each his own!
BTW its not hard to get off at all, 4 bolts and your there dude!
While you have it off plug off the coolant line that runs to it. Nissan does this just in case of icing around the throttle plate. Unless you live in the arctic I dont think this will happen!
Good Luck!
