A friend recently did a EGR removal on his car and the Check Engine light came on. We have been trying to find a way to turn it off without taking out the CEL bulb. We tried the resistor trick (using a 100k ohm, 1/4 watt[even tried a 1/2 watt] resistor in place of the sensor) and we haven't had any luck.

Did we mess up the resistor placement? We're we not supposed to replace the sensor with it? Do you guys have any other ideas of how to do this? Looked for it online for awhile now and no good information can be found. Think Google search engine is failing hardcore these days.

This is a for a 1995 S14

yeah I did. Maybe this trick doesn't work with a dual cam? I'm pretty sure there's no specific way to put on a resistor either.
