I have a squeaking noise that happens whenever I start my car. Sometimes its worse than others. It will go away after a few seconds.
However it will occur (even after the car is warmed up) whenever I turn on the heater and the lights, or the rear defroster and lights, or heater and rear defroster.
Turning on just one of these things won't cause it to squeak.

Check the life on your power steering/ac/alternator belts and replace the ones that are worn. if there al good just tighten them by loosening the lock bolt and tighten the bolt to extract the pump till its a snug tight =] you could also spray some wd40 on the inside threads of the belts/pulley for a temporary squeak fix

Went out tightened the alternator belt and the squealing got ALOT worse.
Plus the alternator pulley was burning hot.
New alternator? Water pump seizing? I'm lost.

I get the same thing. Thing is it doesn't happen everytime so its hard to diagnose it. Start - squeaks the first few seconds or until i rev it a little - squeak stops. Doesn't squeak again until maybe the next time I start it. Think I am gonna try the taking belts off till I find it deal this weekend.

belts might be cracked. while its squeaking spray some lube on the belts. if it goes away, replace and tighten up with a new one and ship it!!! lol good luck

Don't overtighten the belts, the FSM goes over a procedure for the amount of deflection the belts should have.

Take a bar of soap and soap up your belts (do not weet the soap). Do it when its not running of course. See if that helps. I know it sounds funny, but my grandfather showed me this, and it worked for me.
