ok so maby i been doin a lil boozin tonight... but.... i was wondering if anyone knows of any writeups on adjusting clutch pedal feel/firmness? SHIiiiit, im gonna go search... im kinda under the influence right now but wanted to post anyway...

I would like to achieve 2 things.

1. im interested in getting about 1.5"-2" of clutch travel to the floor, quick on--quick off...

2. i want it to engage strongly as possible (dont care how much it may wear it out; if any different)

...and as soon as the stock clutch goes, in comes a much nicer one... (but thats just time and will only happen when this clutch goes so..)

Point is, if you are just gonna say "use search ass-clown" then dont even post and forget i mentioned it, but if you do know an informative site/write up, then id appreciate the info! thanks

or just PM.

P.S. and of course im talkin about a 240, if cam design would matter then its:
sock SOHC. stock 5sp tranny.

Check the owners manual on 'Clutch pedal adjustment'. Outside that do a search on eliminating the 'damper box'. It is a mod that firms up the clutch feel. Not considered safe by some people. You can also try racing fluid in the lines. Getting a stiffer pressure plate would help as well.

I've just got to ask: why would removing the clutch dampner be considered unsafe?

If done properly it shouldn't pose a problem. But I have heard stories of loss of hydraulic pressure at the worst possible times after doing this mod.
