Over the past couple weeks in my performance class I’ve been porting my redtop SR20 head, I just flow tested it yesterday and these are my numbers:
Intake/ Exhaust /% of Intake Flow
Lift – CFM/ Lift - CFM/ ---------
.50 – 38.4/ .50 – 39.5/ 102.8%
.100 – 81.5/ .100 – 82.8/ 101.5%
.150 – 122.9/ .150 – 114.7/ 93.3%
.200 – 153/ .200 – 138.7/ 90.6%
.250 – 176.5/ .250 – 157.6/ 89.3%
.300 – 188.3/ .300 – 167.1/ 88.7%
.350 – 197.1/ .350 – 186/ 94.3%
.400 – 206/ .400 – 186/ 90.2%
.450 – 207.3/ .450 – 189/ 91.1%
.500 – 211.7/ .500 – 189/ 89.2%
Overall I’m pretty happy with the results, only thing is I didn’t get a chance to flow test it before hand. When I actually have money to build my head, I’m going to go with a 1mm bigger valve, both intake and exhaust to hopefully help with flow. Does anyone know where I can find the stock flow numbers for a redtop SR20, I’ve looked around with no luck.

Don't waste your money... My stock VVL head out flows that by almost 75cfm, by 100cfm on an untouched head. I think it flowed 279 at .450". You can get the red/black top heads up there but it takes a lot of money if you can't do it yourself.

Good stuff though

Yea it was free so its not like it was a total lost, even the flow test was free, cause i did it myself. I'm still trying to find stock flow numbers to see how my head is compared to stock.

Check this thread out headflow data??? - Page 2 - SR20 Forum (http://www.sr20forum.com/sr20ve-sr16ve/150067-headflow-data-2.html). It's from the FWD guys, but high and low port heads are the same minus intake manifolds.

well from there it looks like my intake was helped a little but my exhaust was helped out a lot. I really hope if i stick some bigger valves in it its helps it out a bit.
