so i just got my driveshaft on today after my motor rebuild but it doesnt seem to be fitting right. its in an s13 with an sr, non abs. its bolted to the diff and the center carrier is on but the input shaft that goes into the trans doesnt go in all the way. it has about a half inch or just enough to fit my index finger in between the 2. any suggestions?

It's not supposed to go all the way in...

This is the samething that happened to me when I did my swap. The only bad thing was that trans fluid would seep out. Once I put a j30 diff on my car the driveshaft fully inserted itself and the fluid stopped leaking. But I am sure that fliprayzin has more knowledge on the subject than I do.

Yea thats what I figured is gonna happen, that's why I'm wondering cause I don't remember it being like that when I took it out

There needs to be a small amount of "play" persay
so that when the rear end moves around with those awesome
factory Jello bushings, it doesnt force the driveshaft into the transmission.

Tail end isnt supposed to leak. It would only leak when you have shitty seals in there. Replace the damn seal and not worry about that shit leaking again.
