Having traction problem when I hit a pothole or bump at slow speeds (1st or 2nd gear going 5-20mph). The car then bounces and jerks. I'm using tein HEs set at 5F/5R damping setting. Any advice to fix this problem?

It doesn't do it at higher speeds?
I would think maybe your alignment is off but if that were the case, it would do it at all speeds, getting worse at higher speeds. At least, that's how it was in my car.

Do you have an LSD? I'm assuming not (because that allows this explanation to make sense). Something interesting that I observed. With the INCREASE in traction (b/c of your improved suspension modifications), the LSD seems to be more bullish in re-directing all the power to the wheel not contacting the ground...causing the chirping or shuddering that you might be experiencing. Start driving in a circle, the wheel all the way to one side, and try to re-create the offending symptom. If you can managa to, this may be the illusive missing link in your rear suspension setup.
Also try to drive uphill slowly, and try to re-create the loss of traction without damaging anything. Zig side to side repeatadly and see if you can recreate the jerkiness and shuddering. (adding - the zig-zagging will cause a weight shift from wheel to wheel, hopefully exposing the flaw of the open diff. If the bouncing-shaking symptoms arise, than, well, i'm right!)
I changed suspension, wheels and tires, bushings, and i was still experiencing "traction loss" or shuddering symptoms that match yours, and I determined (hopefully correctly) that it was the open diff...what do you guys think?

1) because the damper is too soft and bouncing on the springs all over
DID YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS?
www.tein.com
technical info
and go from there
READ IT IN ENTIRETY
5r and 5f dont mean crap
5 from the softest or 5 from the hardest?
from softest you'll blow your shocks
START AT HARD
click down
BUT DONT go past a certain amount of clicks (see instruction manual at link)

Ill be getting on the 10 freeway off of Hoover, its a sharp right incline, if i hit it with any speed, my rear will bounce up and down all over the place:bash:

As dousan said, it sounds underdamped.

Did you lower the car? It could be that the struts are at unequal lengths. Somebody could have not locked the perch.
