PLEASE, i really don't know what to do, ever since my starter crapped out on me one day, i replaced it.... but after that the car never drove the same... like the starts are tough and sluggish... i brought the car to a local mechanic and he said that the teeth on the flywheel is broken.. .and htere is nothing to worry about.. is this true? the car drives fine after i start.. it' sjust the initial starts that the car struggles with... if i was to fix it myself does it require skills beyond of a beginner? thanks for reading..

You'd have you drop your tranny and swap in a different (used in good condition) flywheel. If you have any friends with a nice garage and tool collection, maybe give it a shot. Of course, if you replace the flywheel, you might as well replace the clutch while you are in there. Just a thought.

Does it act like you have no torque when you are trying to start from a stop? Like it is acting like you aren't giving it enough gas and it starts to shutter? If this does, then you might wanna check you injectors. I have this problem. I changed everything trying to find it (spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributer cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter, and cleaned all the intake pieces). I didn't find this problem until I took my car to a mechanic and he scanned it and the injectors came back as clogged.

no it isn't like if i don't have any torque or anyting like that.. it's just the initial start up that has problems... once it starts it all good...
misnomer

Starting the engine is sluggish? Not driving the car?
That would make sense if your flywheel is missing teeth. Deal with it or replace the flywheel.
