G'day guys, if this is in the wrong place please move :)
My name is Simon and I am a 'professional' drifter from Australia! I use the term professional lightly as we currently have no national series or competition.
I have been drifting for almost 10 years and the story is that Drifting in Australia started in Adelaide. Danny 'Denzo' Vahoumis was the pioneer followed by a small group of people, myself, Christian Pickering, James Mardle and a few others.
From then I have owned many different cars, several Toyota Sprinters, Nissan Cefiro, RB25Det 4 dr R32, SR20De+t Toyota KE70 Corolla and currently an RB25Det Nissan S14 Onevia.
Check out some of the info and pics below. I will use this to upload vids and updates from competitions entered ect also.
Here is a link to my build thread on (Nissansilvia.com) - Automotive Modifiers Network (Hardtuned.net) (http://www.nissansilvia.com) (there are 30 pages, so too much to repost here!)
S14 Onevia Build Thread (http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=401228&st=0&fcat=)
I've had a bit of bad luck with the car as of late, blew 3rd doing backwards entries at the 2nd round of our State series during practice so I didn't qualify as well as I wanted (came 3rd in the first round so a bit of a set back for the championship this year :(), then had to source a gearbox in 3 days so we could drive the car and get it ready for the 14 hour drive to Sydney to compete in the International Drift Challenge as a part of the World Time Attack Challenge.... which I unfortunately blew the RB25 :(
So, I have a week and a half to get the new motor in and running before one of our fun track competitions which will be a bit of practice before the first round of hopefully Australia's new drift series - the Australian Drifting Grand Prix in Melbourne (8-10 hour drive)
I will attempt to upload some more photos and info of the build as I go, but it will be a long process!

*Edit* Just discovered the paid members ride area, so I'll do that later tonight :)
