Hey guys, im getting ready to drop my S13 SR20 into my 1996 s14, and i have a couple of questions. i already have the wiring harness done i just need to install the engine in the car.
first here is a list of what i have so far

1. 3inch apex n1 cat back
2. 3inch greddy down pipe
3. 24*8*2.5 inch intercooler with piping 2 1/4
4. HKS super sequential blow off valve
5. Twist knob turbonetics boost controller
7. Boost guage
8. walboro 255lph fuel pump

so here are the questions
1. is there anything else i need or should get before i drop the engine into the car.

2. What is the safe boost to run on w the mods that i have so far, i have the stock everything including turbo other than what i listed at the top.

3. What kind of hp and time slip can i expect from the mods i hve so far.

A couple of helpful hints:

1. I would pull the tranny off and check to make sure the clutch is in good condition. A clutch change is soooo much easier out of the car.

Not to worry though because it is still doable with the engine in the car just much easier. It took me about 5hrs to change the clutch in the car (First clutch change ever for me).

2. Now that you have the harness done. Run it through the firewall to the ECU and while the engine is out. ::This is uber important if you have an ABS controller in the way::

3. The most time consuming part of dropping the engine in is getting it on the motormounts. Make sure that your mounts are in good condition and not torn. Or buy new ones now so you won't have to pull the engine again.

i already got a clutch i for got to list it is instaled , and i have an extra sub frame from my old s14 and the engine is bolted to it already , when i drop my ka i will be doing it crossmember and all

I would say that putting in some nice fresh gaskets, RTV, and main seals would be a good thing to do before dropping it in. Just make sure you torque everything down right and you'll have a practically brand new engine up in there. It's more time consuming but it will give you peace of mind when you're driving that thing.

7psi is safe boost, its stock boost. First i'd get the engine in, strap on the downpipe/exhaust etc. Wait on the fuel pump/boost controller, but plan to put it on in a certain spot. get a boost guage make sure its boosting 7 all right for a while. Drop in ur 255 walbro and then run it for a while...make sure its all good then start boosting, 14 psi is what i run on a similar setup. careful tho i'd start at 10 for a while. Make sure you don't boost spike.

fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, various fluids, hoses, and spark plugs are small but necessary things...

extras: radiator, electric fans

check your oil pan for dents

great info guys thanks . now about my last two questions about what kind of horespower and what kind of quarter mile time the car (not the driver :p ) is capablre of. at say 10 PSI like yall said with what i got listed up at top.

You will be in the 14 sec range and making about 200hp

I made 230hp 255lb/ft @ 14lbs
With all the bolt-ons (stock turbo, stock ecu)

at 10lbs I made 195hp 205lb/ft
before FMIC and boost

With in the next year a s15 t28 w/ fuel and management will be installed by yours truely and I am shooting for high 200s (280-300hp) Should be a fun little track car!
