the difference is that 240s are owned by dumb cheap kids.

Corvettes are (generally) owned by older better off guys that should know better and have more experience behind the wheel.

Honestly though i think that everyone should be required to take some sort of performance driving class.

Seems like a lot of these crashes are caused by people not expecting the car to go sideways and then reacting too late. People should understand that in a high powered car if you punch it you better have both hands on the wheel and be ready to start steering immediately.

I remember the first time I slammed third gear in a supercharged miata (not a lot of horsepoewer, but a very short wheelbase) in the rain...that thing snapped sideways so fast i thought i was going to die, but simply looking where I wanted to go and countersteering quickly meant i stayed(mostly) in my own lane.

These are things they dont take you through in drivers ed. Hell if you squeal the tires at all you fail.

Stretched tires with lots of camber = less traction. Looks like the driver side rear wheel lost traction and pushed the car to left.
