Background: Engine dies when I let go of gas. Thought it was the IACV, but has started stalling again.

I'm starting to think its fuel related now because I can feel engine randomly losing power when I'm driving. First thing I checked was the fuel pressure regulator per FSM spec below.

It says after a few seconds gauge should read 43 psi (boxed in red above), but mine is reading a constant 34 psi. See video below. Ignore lasso in background LOL, video is sideways too sorry about that.

I continue to Step 8 on the FSM and attached a vacuum source. Now it is reading a constant 43 psi while the vacuum source gauge is zero. The vacuum reading from the intake manifold I plugged up is reading 21-22 inHg as it should be also. I increase the vacuum and the fuel pressure decreases as it should. See vid below.

So the main question is, so is my FPR bad or good? Why is it behaving properly with a vacuum source attached, but isn't when hooked up normally? Is something else bad?

It will show 43.5 with the vacuum line disconnected, and 34-36 with it hooked up. If you are adding vacuum (as in going from 10in to 20in) you will loose Fuel pressure, and obviously the closer to Zero vacuum the more Fuel pressure you'll have.

It seems fine to me.

Are you having a distributor beginning to fail on you?

Your FPR is fine. If you are smelling gas your O2 sensor might be on its way out. Have you replaced it yet? If you've been running rich for a while you might also want to replace your spark plugs. Also spray some carb cleaner around your vacuum hoses (while the car is running) to check for any small vacuum leaks. If the idle increases when you spray, you've got a leak in that area.
