Since I didnt want to take everything back off to check my timing while the engine was in the car I came up with some thinking. Seems like everybody takes their engine apart to check timing, but maybe this is easier. Let me know.
How to Check timing with the engine in the car (Check crank-position).
Take valve cover off.
Rotate crack to TDC and the exhaust cam at 12 o’ clock position (could take some rotations to get there). If you don’t understand this action please read the FSM!
You should see this:

Silver link on the matingmark and 20 pins distance ‘ till the next silver link.
Now when this is all correct, your golden link SHOULD be in this position on the crancksprocket:

How can I check this?
Take out your oil and take off the lower oilpan and plate (the small one that is).
Rotate the crack backwards so the golden link goes upwards and you can see it by the camsprocket. Mark the link with whatever sticks but doesn’t hurt. I used a tiny bit of liquid gasket stuff.
Rotate the crack back to the TDC position as described above. Your back in the starting position now.
Get under the car and find the cracksprocket (use a torch). If the crack is at TDC you should see the lower tooth strait down (6 o’ clock, opposite of “ Key way”).
Turn the crack clockwise untill you spot the marked golden link. This should be socketed in the 2nd tooth counted from the 6 o’ clock tooth (bottom tooth is 0, second is 1st etc.).
This is how I checked my timing and didn’t want to take everything out again. Use commen sense and you get what I mean.
Comment please if I missed something here.
