View Full Version : My SR powered silvia lost to a PT cruzer...
In Grand Turismo 3
But on a more serious note I didn't really like the game. I mean sure it does have great graphics and a ton of cars but it's completly unrealistic. I'd rather play SportsCar GT, its 3 years old and the graphics suck but its the most realistic game I've ever played.

How can you say GT3 is unrealistic? I think the racing physics are very well done... and Sports Gar GT is a butchering of a sport called racing!!

mmm.. painkillers
yeah,, the showed that game to proffesional drivers and they said it was by far the most realistic simulation out there.... funny... what on earth is unrealistic about it.... it played at and was mad because it was TOO realistic.. there was no drifiting at 150 and pulling out of it in one piece kinda fun.. u fuck up,, and u wreck... the only thing possibly unrealistic is how the computer ai's don't move when u nail them.. they can be the littlest shit box, and u can be a skyline.. and u can ram the fuck out of it and they won't budge... other than that... sweet game <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I've played GT3 and my only complain is that the car bodies didn't take damage. I mean, you slam the side of your ride into someone else's and it's still shiney and smooth? For cryin' out loud, the brake rotors get red hot during heavy breaking, but the fenders don't dent? Sheesh.
That aside though, a game so amazing it would make me consider buying a PS2. In the mean time, Sega GT on my Dreamcast gets me by. And, of course, SNES Zelda, but I'm drifting off topic now.

I liked the game especially because they had a fastback silvia. Drifting around corners and rally racing was also a plus.

Oh my god, that's right. I forgot. And GT3 has a Varietta. Humana, humana, humana ... drool.

I like drifting in the game, but the thing that isent realistic about it is that if u race a s15 sr powerd silvia and u race a 240SX which in the game has a ka, the ka and sr are very close, its all about Horsepower

They makers would have put in damage, but they didn't/couldn't because they'd get into that legal jargon with some car companies.
Also Oni, the 240sx (type x) in the game has an SR in it, not the KA.

Wait. What? Car companies would have brought annoying legal crap if the cars got damaged?! Like what?
Oh, man. That blows. I'm gonna go kick some executive ass.
But, what about NFSIII for PS1? Not only did that game show damage, it even cost money to repair. Sure, it wasn't accurate (I'd like a roll a souped-up 'vette over three times after slamming it into a wall in a tunnel and only be out $1.4k, sure, but hey, at least they tried.) How did EA get away with it?

EA actually owns the rights to publish all those exotic cars in a video game. And I think they took those crash physics from actual crash testing or something.
Not crash testing just for the game, but got that data from those companies or something...
