How much do these shops charge? I'm just curious. Cause I'm saving (attempting) for my ls swap. And I am saving 12k. So I'm curious what a shoo would charge

Price really depends on how you want to make it happen. These swaps a pretty much a bolt in deal if you buy a complete swap kit & honestly you are not going to save much by having someone fab mounts ,drive shaft, oil pan, headers.

So depending on your budget & know how that will determine how much of a kit you will need to buy,and if you plan to do mods to the motor before install.

Also you will need custom exaust made.

I would do as much of it as possible, then seek help when needed. Mounting it with a kit is not that hard,& there are premade harness on the market.

cheapest besides getting mounts fabbed is the daft kit....but then again you will still need a driveshaft and an oil pan

I have a buddy that just swapped a LS into his Z. I'm sure he can do all the work, Him and his dad own a shop in the OC.
