wth who told u that
I was buying some gasket exhaust for my s14 and this dude who was helping out ask what kind of car im putting it in. Then he ask me how big is the pipping of my exhaust and i told him 3 inch. then he said "your gonna burn up your gasket because you dont have enough pressure on the exhaust and it will cause your valves to burn up"lol

That's why he works at a parts store, and not as a mechanic
HAHA did he try to sell you a muffler bearing and blinker fluid also?
Or maybe a radiator for your VW/porsche?
If you need REAL mechanic work or an opinion just hit me up. Im in your area.

That's probably the same guy that sold me my flux capacitor, I was wondering why nothing happens at 88mph!

Ok, he's not completely crazy though.
This is a common problem with motorycles. You chop off the exhaust, no backpressure, and burn valves.
I don't know shit about backpressure, but I know that this CAN happen on motorcycle exhausts.
The reason why it is more prevalent afaik, is because a bike exhaust is short, and thus needs the pressure. Car exhausts however, probably have enough backpressure because of the sheer length.
