Description: Thinking about selling my project Datsun, but only if I get the right price for it. This is a running, driving 280Z. I bought the car after it had not been running in over 4 years and put a lot of work into it:
Will consider trades for anything reliable, decent on gas, and manual, 5 or 6-speed. ABSOLUTELY NO HONDAS (This includes Acuras) OR VWs!!!!! Will add cash on top of the Z.
1978 Datsun 280Z
4- Speed Manual 2+0 coupe
87k Miles
The car starts and drives great, and all the gears shift great. The car has a lot of pep and is a blast to drive. It was my driveable project, but not sure if I want to work on it anymore. The price is flexible, it's just a starting point but as far as NJ S30s go, this has a lot less rust then others I've seen. This has typical S13 rust which is amazing for it's age. Floor pans, quarters, and strut towers are solid, and the car will come with a lot of extras, too much to list.
THE GOOD:
- New MSD Ignition Coil
-Brand new Battery with custom Battery tie down/tray kit.
- Brand new Alternator
- Brand New Starter
- Brand new shifter bushings.
- Brand new headlights
- Brand new front sway bar end links
- Brand new Fuel pump, and fuel injectors with brand new pig tails
- Brand new MSA 6-1 Header
- Brand new custom Dynomax 2.5 inch exhaust
- Custom Intake
- Comes with brand new interior, and a full size dash cap.
- Brand new Fuel Filter, spark plugs, wires, water sender kit, radiator hoses, belts, water pump, and more!
- New brakes (not yet installed)
- Tons of other extras
-Body is pretty rust free, and very straight
- New Exedy clutch and Sachs flywheel (not installed)
- 240Z bumpers (not on the car)
- Poly urethane front Air Dam
THE BAD:
- Frame rails are shot, new ones need to be welded in
- Rust in the battery tray area
- Rust in the inner hatch
- Electrical issues

As far as trades go I'm interested in: Nissan NX2000s, Nissan Sentras B13 SE-Rs, Mazda MX6 GTs (first generation), Ford Probe GT (first generation), Toyota MR-S, 2nd Gen Toyota MR-2, Mazda Miata First Generation, 2007 Mazda Speed3, Mazda ProtogeSpeed, Nissan 240SX S13 Coupes (no hatches), Nissan 240SX S14, Nissan 300ZX Z32 N/A (No TT), anything else reliable and somewhat sporty. Nothing older then 1990 though please.
I understand I have no posts on this forum, I just lurk for the most part, but I am very active on TriStateTuners, and most Spec-V forums, if anyone just wants to make sure I am not a troll or what not lol. And I had a bunch of people tell me to post my Z's up here cause I might get more bites here.
***I also have a running 1976 280Z, 4-speed manual 2+0 for sale for 2500$ OBO if anyone is interested. ***
