I might be moving down to Florida once i get off active duty anyway I wanted to know what are the inspection and emmisions procedures for vehicles there. I have a 97 s14 with SR swap.

basically none, i know when i got my buick to be registered from michigan all they did was a visual inspection and what wieght class it was in. I might be wrong though.

What kind of visual just to see that VIN matches or did they do a detailed visual ie raising hood etc..
no inspection what so ever.

oh ok so no smog and no inspection and whats the rule on tint?

LOL! No smog, no visual, no VIN matchup (unless insurance wants to do that themselves). Tint is county by county, but I think Florida law dictates that it can't be under 20% in back and 3% on the sides. Front tint goes to the arrow on the windshield.
My car:
KA-T, 10% tint.
I'm glad there's no BS inspections here.
Used to be.. in the '70s, but the governor had to wait 6 hours to get his car inspected, and soon after, passed a law not requiring inspections :)

Actually they ended in the late 90's, I remember my car passing with flying colors :D

tint is 35% on the front windows, and 20% on the sides and back
that's for passenger cars. suvs can go darker
