Whats up guys, its been a while since ive posted on zilvia...last time i was on here was back in the day when there was still posi rep. :spank:

Basically i started a thread about the daily activities at my shop on another forum and seemed to get a lot of positive feedback, id like to hear what my zivilians think about everything.

Me and a few buddies of mine went in on a 1,800 sq ft shop a few months ago. Two stories, garage and lift downstairs and lounge wit vinyl office upstairs with roof top access. Pretty sweet setup honestly. Heres my original posts from back in February till now. We decided to call ourselves Stick Garage.




-Im missing the game, i put my hunt for another Z33 on hold for a little due to lack of space....Im pleased to announce that the hunt is back on!! I recently picked up a 1,800 sq. ft two story warehouse with a few of my buddies.

Ive done most of the work on all of the above cars plus dozens more not photographed. We've got a lot of interesting ideas for this spring, the mustang already has a new set of wheels and the shop cars should be out and about by summer.

So ive been pretty busy with this new customers KA-T S13 which came to me with a blown t25 turbo and suspension needing to be dialled in.
So were swapping in a GT2871R .64, new oil feed, water-cooled turbo retrofit and im going over the suspension with a fine tooth comb. ill have more of this build later this week.

Helped a buddy of mine stance his rabbit before show and go this weekend.

They didn't take too kindly to the manor of which i was sliding around most the course, but i had to find some way to rotate my boat into some of the tighter/complex corners......i was kicked off the track for show boating, whats new.

Ive been pretty busy with setting up new upcoming builds..something like a 350z and bagging a rabbit. ill keep you posted with tons and tons of picture, Promise.

For now heres some pics of the S13 im doing for Rikky Bobby.
The car came to me as a pretty good example of a KA-T fastback, T25, proper fuel setup, coilovers and almost every control arm and brace etc..but she needed a little loving. The turbo was blown and car hard very rigid ride but most of all the customer wanted the car to perform well.

After weighing out the options and a little convincing on my part...i sold him on a GT2871r that was conveniently for sale on zilvia. heres some of the progress thus far.

Apparently one day the turbo melted the brake master and never drove the same since, then one day the car just quit making boost. So after hearing about me through another friend the car was towed to me from a far away land. Upon my initial inspection i noticed the vac line to the wastegate was hooked up to a hose coming off the boost gauge and thought it would be an easy fix, swapped the hose to the turbo inlet and down the street we went. Truly thinking in my heart that the car would make some kind of boost or noise but nope, no boost, noise or smoke.

The turbo must come off, in less than an hour she's apart on the floor.I laid witness to a shaft play in a manor of which I have never witnessed prior to this moment. Something seemed fishy, so i did some snooping around. found out the oil feed line wasn't flowing properly. At that moment I realized that when the master had melted, the hot fluid must have warped the oil feed line thus starving the turbo of oil and killing it in a slow and painful death. genius, i love this aspect of trouble shooting.

Heres a little bit about what ive been up to. I sold the M5 :( and picked up a mint 85 911 Pcar, love it. The M5 was awesome but as far as modifications go theres much to be desired. I also really missed the agility of

anddddd, i finally started getting serious about the S13 and picked up a set of wheels from my good buddy. Once i got my hands on the wheels i actually found motivation to finish this car once and for all.

Once i got the wheels over to the shop the creative juices started flowing...im not too fond of the face design so i decided to take them apart and paint them. Then i had a brilliant idea, why not vinyl wrap them? :twisted:

I had already decided to vinyl wrap the S13 so for the past few nights ive gone vinyl crazy, ive got the car about 1/3rd done and the wheels on the way. Heres a few teaser/progress shots.

As for the ground clearance on the s13, you can wrap a radiator hose clamp around the exhaust hanger bushing to help raise it up.

thanks guys, i didn't expect so many responses over night.

The shop initially started off as a place to keep out cars and work in the winter (fantastic heating system) and do a few side jobs here and there to pay the bills. Then business started picking up as word spread about my work. Then my best friend drew (white mustang) and I decided to get a vinyl plotter to make stickers iPhone wraps and eventually evolve into wrapping whole cars. Im practicing wrapping with my S13 using sticker vinyl for now, when stretched too much it looses stickiness but 3M makes an adhesive paste for that exact issue.

Everything is for sale, if you like it more than i do come take it I actually got a call from the production company that produced Pawn Stars yesterday and they'd like me to sell the car to a character on one of their new shows. so well see how that plays out.

Me too man, i was planning on building an LS1 Z33 but then i got an insane deal on the M5 i had sell my LS1 and shell in order to buy it. Now the M5s gone and i plan on doing a LS1 wide body 911 id like to try drifting with but for now ive still got the S13 with GT2871r S14 motor.

yes, such a power house...i planned on drifting this summer with the M5 but even abusing the car on the street the car started to wear prematurely and as you know the parts for those cars aint cheap. So i plan on building a more reliable V8 ;)

hell yea, shoot me a PM if your coming to NY. once we finish the S13 we might actually be driving up to toronto, my dad lives up there. I figured out a pretty legit way to import the JDM cars into the states for not that much money, ill let you guys know if it works.


Heres a little teaser after i finally got tires for the rears.
265/35/18 on a 18x12.5, i didn't realize how intense of a stretch it would be. After getting it nice and wet, inflating, deflating, over inflating and repeatedly bouncing over 6ft in the air with 90psi plus a little torch action, I'm pretty close to getting the bead to seat on the lip. I think i just need to put a few miles on the car and we should be good.

I plan on mounting the over fenders this week, can't wait to see how the copper rivets look on the battleship silver vinyl. We still might change up the color combo for the wheels, maybe brown on bronze....well see.

Forgot to mention i sold the porsche today :(. No time for another project at the moment, might jump back into my original LSx Z33 idea.

I KNOW! my initial plans for the porsche:
~either RWB or RSR wide body
~renegade hybrid LS1 swap in the rear w/ G50 porsche tranny w/lsd
~drill and tap the hubs to 5x114.
~18x11/18x14 weds or rotiforms

If i didn't have this business taking all of my capital, trust me id be half way done wit this project already.

For now ill finish the S13, make some monies, maybe LSX swap it.
Making a lot of progress on the S13 ill have pics up later tonight.

Started riveting the over fenders on...rear camber is almost maxed out and coils are pretty much as low as they go.
I want to get all four wheels on and level the car out before i decide how much I'm going to arc the over fenders.
Its going to be a tight squeeze, the beads havnt even completely seated to the front barrels yet.
Im hoping to have most of the car assembled by tonight, its 8:25am and i just got back from an all nighter at the shop. time for a power nap then back to work.

Our personal shop S13 (test mule) was actually our first attempt at wrapping a complete car and was done with the cheapest of sticker vinyls and came out great. People can't believe its not paint, even the guys at the body shop next door.

Finally uploaded real pictures of whats been going on the past few weeks. Just finished dp,jb4,fmic,intakes and clutch delay valve delete on a buddies 335i, pretty sweet cars the power is so smooth its creepy. Ill get some pics later this week.

Better pics of the S13 in not ride height. put 235/40s on the fronts, kind of disappointed in the stretch..might swap out for 225/40 soon. Also the copper rivets are way too small, im super disappointed in that. Scrapped the "Vinyl wrapping the lips" idea, after messing one up after it was completely wrapped and removing it proved to be a multiple day task. Im going with a good old fashioned rattle can for the barrels and lips, pics later..you should lke the color.

We also decided to rice out the mustang with a carbon wrapped roof and trunk section and then we wood grained the interior trim. I think it came out awesome, we need to do the roof over tho.

So ive been dying for a pushrod for years now, I had my heart set on doing an LS1 in the 911 i just sold. I got an offer i couldnt refuse so i let her go but the next day i found a deal i couldnt let pass up. yea...LS1 Rx7 from a Club loose member in the tri state area. Its got a pretty stock LS1 with LS6 intake manifold, BBK long tube headers to a 3" Y pipe to 3" straight pipe. The car has all the good control arms and such...just not a fan of hte BC coilovers. If i keep it i have some really sick plans for it but i truly want the porsche.
Ive got a few things i need to clean up with the fuel and clutch lines. Also refine the interior and definitely load up with some sound deadening. Seriously humoring the idea of widebody with a kit and wheels similar to the S13 and wrapping it white....but i might just put a rotorary back in it, sell it and keep the power train to put the LS1 in a porsche... so torn. :violin:

Sweet, it seems pretty well put together. Ive still got a lot of work to get the car up to my standards but I'm happy with the purchase. The steering feels super light, i havnt really gotten into any higher speed drifts or corners but the car feels solid. Ive got some adjustments to do with the damper and shock travel to hold me off for the rest of this season till i get real coilovers (if i even keep the car)

Heres the only vehicle ive ever bought brand new. 2010 Ducati Monster, the same week i got all my parts on/painted for the look i was going for the bike caught on fire while running in my garage. She only had 600 miles, i was so disappointed/relieved. It was my second bike and it only took me a few weeks to realize its way too slow and not the kind of bike i was looking for. I went with a Metallic Copper for the lips and i have gone though at least 6 different other test colors (brown, purple/brown and a flower pot clay color. None pictured) Im now stuck between two colors. This Flat primer moss green and a super Metallic Dark Bronze. Im most likely going to do the bronze but something about the green contrasts so well to me.

GoPro action in the RX7....not a huge fan of the chassis, I'm going to adjust the shock travel (with out raising the car) and adjust the dampers. They're set how the previous owner set them...like shit, stiff in the back softer in the front..should make it a little more controllable

just did Agency power FMIC and Downpipes with JB4, twin intakes and CDV delete. Really gave me a new appreciation for the 335s. He's got the power, now he just needs a diff and stance it down and it'll be a complete package...i told him to just weld the diff but he's concerned about his warranty :(

Ive got some sweet footage for you guys I'm still editing. I also finally took delivery of my 08 VQ35HR motor, tranny, driveshaft, harness and a bunch of other goodies. Not too sure what I'm putting it in yet but since my 04 Z ive always appreciated the VQ but always wished the engine had more RPMs. I want to build it too see how much i can't get out of it naturally aspirated, we'll see what happens tho. I might just sell it so i can build the LS1...or sell the SR20 out of the S13 and throw it in there. i don't know, I'm too indecisive..i just want everything.

hahaha yea, thats crazy man. What a small world, he's got a shop on the corner of Markham and Finch. He hardly drives the car, thats crazy to me that you caught him on the road. I just picked up a 08 350z powertrain (VQ35HR). Engine, transmission, harness, ACT clutch and a bunch of other spare parts.
Im really thinking about tearing the whole engine down and building the head and bottom end for high compression/ high RPM. I loved my VQ35DE, I'm seriously humouring the idea of pulling the SR20 out of the S13 for this engine. Naturally aspirated just feels so good.

well see what happens.

Like everything its time consuming but as long as you have good lighting, proper tools, a little heat and a lot of patience you can do it in a day or two. Im actually taking all of the silver off, its really a sticker vinyl intended for stickers and decals. I decided to practice wrap with the cheaper stuff and ended up liking the finish a lot and doing most of the car in it but the biggest negative of the sticker vinyl is that its not perforated like the real stuff so its basically impossible to not get any bubbles.
Ive decided to go with a 3m 1080 Matte grey/silver which i think should contrast really well with the copper lips and rivets on the overfenders. I cant wait to see the finished product, the interior is going to be even better but ill keep that a surprise..i dont want to spoil you guys but this car should be getting a lot of coverage next summer and the S13, Mustang and RX7 should really put Sticky Garage on the map.

Keep posted for more progress on the S13 and the rest of the Sticky Garage Fleet!!

I think this is the new sticky garage logo, going to make a super awesome one in glow in the dark for drift zombies coming up next week.

S13 Build progress
So we finally got the wheels back from the powder coater, not the color im going for at all. I initially picked out a "new penny" copper color...but they came in this orange rubbish color. Im not happy at all with the outcome at all, im going to send them back and i may do the faces over a whole different color at the same time..

So after coming to some realizations that the cheaper sticker vinyl will never look good any closer than 5 ft away, I made the impulse decision to rewrap the car with a brand new roll of gloss white automotive vinyl we had in surplus. The car is intended to represent the quality of our work, so why cheap out. Within 24 hrs time we had the car stripped, cleaned, prepped and rewrapped. Thanks to a full hands on deck by basically anyone associated with the Sticky Garage.

Thats about it for now, its 3:33 am, Ive been in the city for halloween since Friday and came to the shop straight from the city, im shot. The S13 will be completed and assembled shortly. I need to clearance the inside of ht fenders because the rims scrape due to the camber, i plan on aligning the car before i rivet on the bottom halves of the over fenders to ensure maximum accuracy of symmetry. Were also wrapping the WRX from our good friends from M.R Performance, plus some changes to the mustang and finally my new Z33 project should be starting soon. Stay tuned weve got a lot of awesome shit planned this winter.

The object of the toe arms with the bend is to keep the arm as close to parallel with the ground as possible, not vice-versa.

The work you guys do is sick, and the bmw is gangster. Couple suggestions for your emblem though, i think the tips should come out at the same angle, just closer to the reaf and coming out that corner so it's flush with the wheels. but then that would suggest taking out most of the bottom assembly stuff..... but if you did that, you could just put in a little extra detail in the helmet and the shadow on the left side of the shield.

basicly i think it just needs less total width lol, but with a little more detail. and throw in a tribal underlining type deal for sticky garage.

It looks crispy though, just my 2c :naughty:

The bend is for subframe clearance. It is correct as mounted. Maybe you need to reverse yours?

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!! hahaha. Yea its definitely not as easy as people think at all, were constantly learning new methods, producing cleaner, more professional quality work and becoming more efficient at the same time. But the learning process never ends. Wrapping the S13 twice was an awesome learning curve. Im super pleased with the final product, Id like to think the WRX came out basically error proof. The guys at MR-P...and basically everyone that has seen the car (including everyone at the body shop next door) thought the car was painted and were blown away at the fact that it was vinyl, especially around the aggressive body lines, door edges, handles and jams. Anyone ever on the North Shore feel free to come by and check out both of our cars.

The roof is also a huge attention grabber. We wrapped the roof of my buddies E46 M3 yesterday and he actually insisted that we put a Sticky Garage sticker under the roof vinyl after seeing the roof of the WRX.

As for the bubbles, in person they are far less noticeable but still no excuse. The vinyl that we used to lay down the "MRP"s on the roof of the WRX isnt the same perforated type like we use to wrap the car. So once the bubbles form after applying, there's no way of getting them out with out using a needle and even then the letters still are left with some sort of deformity.

We applied and removed the pattern from the roof twice before getting it perfect. One letter at a time... then had to print more, trim and weed new sheets to reapply ..super time consuming. Next roof we do, the patterns will definitely be cut in perforated vinyl to prevent those annoying bubbles. Also keep in mind this was our first attempt at doing an embossed roof, Ryan at MR P was still blown away by the entire car, including the roof. Were working on a new pattern and will probably end up doing it over again anyway. Once Ryan breaks in his new engine, buttons up some things, he will bringing the car back for me to sticker it up, set up the suspension and put his new wheels on.

We plan to remove the carbon from the roof of the mustang and do it over with "SG"s embossed in matte black (or maybe wood grain.) We promise it will come out perfect.

The flat black IS the perforated vinyl, the lettering underneath is normal sticker vinyl. Normally we don't get bubbles when we apply stickers. We didnt realize we were out of clear fly paper till 3a.m and our addiction for instant gratification forced us to use the paper fly paper, which wrinkles easily, isnt transparent and makes it very difficult to line up and keep smooth.

We've got a wholesaler from TX that next day airs everything we order. We only use 3M 1080 or Oracal 970RA for vehicle wrapping. Good luck with your tinting business, PM me if you need anything.

So guys, were in the works with our close friends at M.R Performance on a mutually beneficial partnership. Not going into huge details right now but its basically going to be both SG and MRP under the same 6700sqft fantasy factory of a shop/warehouse.
1800sqft lobby/showcase that cars can be driven in from our 4500sqft shop area.

Some of the prospective features of the new shop are:
-Brand new AWD dyno and tuning.
-4 wheel alignment machine.
-Full design/performances packages
-Super white light vinyl wrapping booth.

And heres my favorite idea that the SG crew is really pushing for.
We plan on turning the lobby/car showcase room into a sneaker showroom, specializing in Nike SBs, dunks, some Jordans, supras and basically supporting new and upcoming clothing brands that fall into our niche. Were trying to combine the "exclusive sneakers/, hipster style" with exclusive wheels and our automotive design while still staying true to our roots... Setting up drift and race cars and keeping it fun.

I can trust that ill get a lot of different feedback from everyone and im looking forward to hearing from everyone.

This is a big move for both of us and we just want to make this place as epic and fresh as possible. Your one stop shop.

Were going for the OEM Super+++++ look. Going to have to tub the front fenders to get the desired height. I already banged in the rear inner fenders over and inch, i still may take an air hammer to it and the over fenders are going to need to be arched out.

The cars on hold right now, back at my house till buisness slows down a little but from the looks of it i think were going LS1 S13 now.

Speaking of S13s..as the days go on the idea of an LS1 S13 becomes more and more appealing to me but the desire to do something a little more out of the box with the LS1 has me second guessing the idea.

Who knows, only time will tell or maybe after i drive Autris car it'll change my mind.

Heres a pics i snapped of the IS300 built by Tach Motor Works. I made friends with Lucky and were going to be doing all of their suspension setups and dialing in.

Serious car, Stoptechs all around, VVT-i 2JZ w/ built heads and big turbo (est. 600+hp), KW v3's and every suspension component available for the IS300.

Ive got more pics of the car from underneath ill upload tomorrow. I was definitely impressed especially after i set up the dampers, rebound, height and alignment.

Were getting corner balance scales in the next few weeks and hopefully an alignment machine before summer time. Super excited about all the new tools. Ill keep you guys posted.




On a side note, today I worked on the first and LAST SAAB i will ever lay hands on. I put a bigger turbo and stainless steel oil/coolant lines plus a bunch of other misc stuff on a 2000 SAAB 93 2.0 Turbo. Absolutely miserable experience. Example: The power steering pump needs to be removed to get the manifold over the last bolt holding the manifold.....enough said. I was so aggravated i didn't even bother to take pics.

Alright guys, we've been super busy with the move. A few of you guys already know that we've finally moved all our stuff over to the Mineola location which is a lot more neutral in Nassau county. Its also a super awesome Fast Fitment Fantasy Factory. Ive got a TONNN of pics for you guys. We only got keys to the place as of Thursday last week and ive basically been living there, trying to get everything moved in and setup. The vent in the hood is a ram air for the in cabin filter. I admit, not super functional for anything besides the freshest of air but it is a $8k+ carbon kevlar hood so its ok in my books.

No, it is not my Ferrari. The owner is a friend who dosnt mind me whoring/driving his car around. I admit, ive never loved a car the way i love this particular car, I personally have countless hours into projecting a particular image i had in my mind onto this car and i (and the owner) couldn't be happier.

The pure essence of this track rat Ferrari thats daily driven, sounds like the devils F1 car and still has a elegant but aggressive presence, just drives me crazy.

Were having a meet at our shop this Sunday, a few of us are going to head out to Ocean parkway/Captree meet around 7-8 for a cruise then cruise back to our shop for a meet and greet and to debut our new shop (still under construction). Weve got a large lot that can easily fit 100+ cars

We will be meeting at our shop around 10am and will have bagels, drinks and a bunch of free goodies. Were also going to be vinyl wrapping, making stickers and also have the lifts open. Its going to be a good time, awesome cars, cool people in a safe and relaxed environment.

god, im in love with this particular car. If im ever in the position to buy it I certainly will. Its just so..rough around the edges and purpose built. It really shouldn't be on the road, it belongs on a race track. You cant even have a conversation in it,long tube headers from one of the
le mans touring cars to a X pipe where a muffler should be then it all casually exits through what appears to be as stock exhaust tips.
