Wheels for a Z(32) help me out.

Trying to decide on wheels for my Z. I want to stay away from the typical stuff
i.e. rpfo1's, advans,350z wheels,works, yada yada.
Anyways, I had a thought: The z 32 is a good blend between luxury and sport, great body lines and all around just a sexy car if done right. Most of the wheels out there have been done on a Z and done well. I want to try some of the Luxury wheels and see what the results are. If any of you can photo shop for me that would be great! I dont want 20's. 19's are about as high as id go.

@Busted: from a general all around standpoint staggered rims on a Z make it a bit temperamental, hence the reason most of the Z guys go to a full set of TT wheels from the stock ones. In the rain It becomes a Major issue.

I have a Z32, well... 3 now actually. I think my opinion matters. VIP wheels don't belong on our cars. They look way out of place. If you want something less sporty, find a nice 3 piece wheel, like a BBS LM or VS-KF. You're talking about performance with going non- stagger, yet you're looking into heavy as shit wheels. Get real. Do what works. So what if a sporty wheel is "over-played". It looks good regardless. It works. It'll make you happy IMO.

I don't need to see them on a car to know they'll look horrendous, just look at that orange lambo you posted, it looks like complete ass with the color matched wheels, and that yellow z34's value went down the instant he put those wheels on. Arcticdragons car is the exact one I was referring to when I was talking about good looking wheels on a z32, he knows what he's doing so maybe you should take a look at some of his past posts regarding his own car. Want something that's less played out? Buy a wheel that most people can't afford i.e. BBS LM's or something else along that route, the reason you don't see these "DUB" looking wheels on sports cars is because they absolutely ruin anything sport about a car. AND congratulations on owning a z32, it must be so hard to afford a car that's resale has dropped below that of an s-chassis as of late.:cj:

I think the only way you could possibly get close to pulling it off is if you do something similar to Looking's FD3S, and the only reason it pulls it off is because it has very agressive aero and a nice paint job. BUT you also talk about handling, which doesn't make any sense when you're looking at rims like this.

Wrong again buddy, if anything staggered wheels are going to promote understeer far more than they would oversteer, in fact going with a square setup front and rear will more than likely provide more oversteer then any staggered setup. Unless you do some backwards shit like wider wheels in the front than rear lol

Nobody cares about how much shit you own or how much money you have, obviously it can't buy taste which is why you made this thread because your taste is horrendous at best. As someone posted earlier, go buy a 300c since you have so much money, at least those are expected to be gaudy and have ugly ass wheels.

:picardfp:Yes it alters handling exactly how I explained it, smaller wheels/tires up front then rear, all other aspects being equal the front tires will lose traction first resulting in understeer. Why do you think the Z comes staggered stock in the first place, because it promotes UNDERSTEER, which is safer for people who wouldn't know how to react if the rear were to jump out on them. So obviously it is you that needs to learn how to read and actually comprehend what it is that you are reading.

And you've gotten your opinions on the wheels, they are all ugly as fuck but one, but since you don't have any reading comprehension or an ability to use google to search up ugly ass wheels on a z32 you come here asking to be bottlefed. If you needed a photoshop done I'm quite sure there is a thread for that since you should know since you've been around since 2005 or longer so you say.

As said before of all the wheels you posted only one of them might look remotely decent on a z32 and that was your second pic. And saying you don't want dub style wheels yet you're posting wheels you would only really find in a dub magazine makes you an idiot at best. I made this because im tired of seeing grids,rpf1,other rotas, and some works on just about every car i look at. I Dont really like vsxx's.

I like ce28n's, work meisters, advan ver 1. but dont really like them on Zeds. Well exept for the ce28n's.
I like the more luxury LOOKING wheels. but I dont know the names of the ones I like, I guess I cant even really say they are luxury wheels but you wont find them in S.S., Modified or Import Tuner. Ive only seen them in The 2011 Wheel guide.Yes, some of them are gaudy and im ok with a little bit of gaudy. It is a "look at me" car in the first place. Mind you that's just some good looking wheels but there are so many out there that look good that haven't been anywhere near a z32 you just need to be more original, but not so original you resort to making your car look ugly as fuck. BALANCE

Those are mostly OK except the ones on the WRX, though I'd be wary of a wheel by the brand "tork". Either #4 and #6 would be my choice.

Bitchfits that is, not donk wheels. Luxury wheels don't even look good on luxury cars for christ's sake. IMO a sweet set of BBS LM's or similar is as luxury as is necessary.

The DoLucks and ABflugs are nice. Good blend between exoitc looking and upscale.
I want to like rpf1's and i kind of do, but there is just something about them that I cant get past. those Abflugs would be perfect on the blue Z.

The Professors vf1's are sweet but id have to see the on a Z. I know for sure they would look good in a gold/bronze on an s14.
