New York State police said Steve Waite, 40, of Jamaica, was driving a Lexus SC400 eastbound on the Southern State Parkway when at 1:13 p.m. he crashed into a Nissan 240SX driven by Bishnu Dinanauth of Woodhaven near Exit 42, Fifth Avenue, police said.
Dinanauth was pronounced dead at the scene. Waite was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was treated and released.

For someone as smart as you think you are, It would behoove you to research the difference between door bars and a sidebar, especially in relationship to a side impact crash.
Now lets quit shitting this thread up. You've got research to do.

Could be hear say but a strong possibility. Either way sad the cat is dead.
Both cars struck several trees in the center median before coming to a rest.

Cody, you know a lot but you come off a super condescending as well as a know it all, borderline dick. I would rather take a hit with a door bar than just a stock S14 door when a car as big and thick as a SC400 is coming at me. Share your knowlege but for crying out loud tone down the disrespect.

If STREET driven cars were safer with cages, they would come with them. But wait, unless people wear helmets, chances of cracking ones skull open is considerably higher.
How about instead of installing a cage/force field/whatever around his car he installed common sense and not raced the SC? Or is that too easy to have thought of?
Either way, it sucks that someone died as a result.
Best of wishes to his family/friends.

Good point about cracking your skull open. Cages without padding on street cars is just not safe.

car wont be released for 30 days its under police investigation, also nothing is left from the car i mean nothing, when i say it looks like a ball of scrap metal and you cant tell what car it was im not exaggerating its was a very bad accident.
when the family gets the car back it will be towed to a buddy's shop and we will try to make sense of it and sell what ever we can to give back to the family, i personally dread that day to see that car again esp like that..
donations are optional no one has to donate i was just putting it out there

there's no evidence that he was racing.. there are witnesses who said that the driver of the Lexus was excessively speeding (meaning he was a few exits behind Bishnu and still wound up with this happening). but there's nothing that can change it now, I just hope that this has taught alot of people a lesson. Also, rumor is that the Lexus driver passed away on Monday.. it's really just a sad story, especially when it involves someone as great as Bishnu.

Insensitive? No, calm the fuck down you twat. I don't believe for one second that that is his sister. If my brother died in a horrible car crash, I wouldn't want to see a fucking video of it happening. No family member would. Just like the family of Porsche girl never wanted to see the photos that were taken and uploaded to the internet. Sure, if it came to light that my brother was street racing, that'd be information that I'd want to know, but I still wouldn't want to see it.
