was wondering if you guys could give me some solid feedback on tires...i will be running 245/40/17s on 9.5s all around...im still adamant on not getting full r-comps just yet so ive narrowed it down to three in the "very high performance short of r-comps" category and price range...the top three that fulfill my criteria are:

-hankook RS-3
-kumho ecsta XS
-dunlop star specs

keep in mind, this is for maximum dry grip...ideally (but not likely) there are some of you that have tried all three extensively...im mainly looking for feedback from personal experience with these tires such as:

-whether theyre known to run "narrower" or "wider"
-how much "roll" the sidewall gives under high speeds
-amount of audible feedback under high speed turns
-if youve noticed a temperature range for optimal performance
-transition of no traction to traction and the amount of "hook"
-whether they are resilient to heat
-do they grease easily
-predictability at high speeds
-predictability when they lose traction

things i dont care about:

-wet traction
-cost (they are all similar)
-fender clearance (i'll make them fit)
-exponential wear (they will be only used for track and not DD)
-all tires in the same category that are not in my price range (toyo r888, bridgestone re-11, advan neovas, etc.)

i know i could pick any of the three and still come out on top, but it would be nice to see what you all have noticed with each...thanks in advance...

i use star specs up front in 235/40-17 variety and i'm convinced they are the best thing i've done to my car. no understeer. they are probably way too grippy for me to use in the back, but i love dunlops up front.

I'm pretty sure grassroots tested all 3 of these within the last year if you want to check that out.

My brother has these on his EVO and they're ridiculous. You can go into a turn waaay hotter than you should and totally hold the line through it.
