I am putting this car on the market to see if anyone would be interested in buying it. Im in no hurry or rush ( I don't really have a replacement yet ) to sell but want to put out the feelers.
This is an 2008 Subaru WRX, 5-spd, with 35,500 miles on the odometer. It has been my daily driver for the past year and is a project car for Modified Magazine and the know defunct Sport Compact Car (RIP). It's a blast to drive with a ton of great useable power. I have had no issues with the car what so ever. It gets on average 23mpg with my driving it city/highway. On the highway it will pull 26-30mpg depending how fast you drive.
The only issue with the car is that the hill assist light is on and doesn't work, which has affected the cruise control from not working. I have never used the cruise control anyways so it doesn't matter to me. Apparently it needs a new module from Subaru ($600).
The interior is all stock minus a Defi boost gauge, its very clean minus a couple scratches here and there, its a 9/10. The exterior of this car used to be flat black but has been wrapped flat white about 6 months ago. There is a small dent at the rear quarter panel that I foolishly didn't get fixed before the wrap. There are some minor nicks in the wrap but nothing that a normal daily driver wouldn't see in the paint. The wrap is extremely well done and 95% of people who ask me about the car don't notice it until I tell them. Because the vinyl is white it needs to be cleaned more than a normal paint job since everything shows on it. I wash the car about once a week, depending on how much you drive or where the car is stored it could be less or more. It does have to be seen to be appreciated though. I should note that the rear trunk had cracks in the flat black paint so it was stripped before the vinyl wrap was laid. If you ever wanted to go back to the flat black paint you would need to have it resprayed, not that you would ever want the flat black since the white looks ten times better IMO.
The car performs very well in the twisties but still provides a well mannered ride for the daily commute. The exhaust has a silencer in it which keeps its tone down and you'll barely notice it during cruising. The brakes are beyond fabulous. They will bring you to a stop in a hurry and look awesome. The black Volks CE28N's show well but have a bit of grime on them that doesn't wash off (much like most used wheels).
I have retrofitted HID ballasts (from the retrofitsource.com) into the stock headlights and they work better than factory with a sharp proper cut-off and beam pattern.
My price is $22,000 with everything on the car. NO TRADES, NO PART OUT. I think that's very fair considering what's invested. I should add that Ive maintained this car very well (as with all my cars) it gets regular oil changes, never abused on city streets, Im a mature driver that enjoys a spirited jaunt but nothing that is reckless or abusive to the car.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the car.
