I'm finally modifying my car!!!

I own a 96 240SX SE. There aren't many modified cars here in my aera of TX but I'm gonna have the coolest 240sx around!

What do you guy thinks of my choices of stuff?

I'm getting a Bomex body kit and some 17inch Konig Tantrums. I'm trying to go for the JDM look. Bomex also makes the skyline front end for the 240 right? Aren't they the main body kit company in japan? I was thinking about doing the Silvia conversion on my car cause I don't really like the 240sx headlights on the car. Kind of reminds of the camery front end.

Also I was thinking about suspension for my car. I saw on VIS racing had these Vspec coilovers them that would lower my car nicely. what do you guy think of those coilovers? I can't afford coilovers like Tein yet.

not a big fan of the tantrums. I don't think they're JDM either, if thats the look you are going for.

however, if thats what you like, do it. and who cares who the main body kit company in Japan is? if it looks good and u have the money, use it.

But ya, umm I say search through post a pic threads, and galleries, pick and choose what looks best. If you still want your combo, go for it.

And I wouldnt consider that a JDM look.

On coilovers, you could always try used, but just be weary of what you are buying quality wise.

cause your car already came with headlights pretty much like that in japan...
if you are gonna go JDM you have to use parts from japan, not ripoffs from the US.

I'd say drive it for a month and concentrate on not wrecking it. If you haven't wrecked it after a while, do suspension upgrades first. Lowering springs and aftermarket shocks like kyb or koni.
Adjustable sway bars would also help.
an LSD is great, but expensive. In the meanwhile I'd put in intake and exhaust and maybe comfortable seats.
After you think you can handle the car, then I'd start worrying about making more power.
And then, finally, then I might start worrying about body kits, after all that.

well i dont see why you would want bomex really IMHO the sold themselves out to the fast and the furious crowd, but thats besides the point, they do have SOME decent looking stuff but alot of it is to over done.

maybe go look at some c-west kits, they are nice looking IMO and also are actually tested in a wind tunnel.

save up for some coilovers on suspension, you can get APEXI world coilovers for around $650-$700

and do not og with tantrums either, they have to high of an offset, since our beloved 240sx's are rwd, we were blessed with the ability to have a nice fat lip on our wheels to, so my advice is to learn around what offsets 240sx's need and then go and look at some VOLKS or ADVANS. SSR also makes some very nice wheels, Also if you want to be able to stop with any power at all, my advice is to upgrade to 300zx 4 piston brakes.

i know you wanna make a showcar thig like on fast and the furious, and i know where you are coming from, because i used to too.
but all that stuff isnt the jdm look and all that, if you want the jdm look, basically stay here on this forum, all the stuff these guys use is full fledged Japanese. but they dont do it to be JdM tYtE

To recap: GregT = NiteKids. NiteKids wasn't behaving at all, he just wanted everyone to think he was behaving. I checked GregT's IPs and the only other user to share those IPs was NiteKids.
NiteKids is in SoCal, 'GregT' was supposedly in TX. Something doesn't add up.
