Trying to wrap up a swap and I keep running into this issue...
If I give the car any type of acceleration at all it just cuts out. The engine was pulled out of a running car, new WSP harness, no obvious vaccuum leaks, new spark plugs. The only thing I had to replace was the TPS (was missing on the engine), that might be the source of my issue but I'm not sure how to test it out.

Don't mind the crazy non-sense & mess in the bay. Just trying to get the car running

sounds like ur MAF

I would agree if it was doing it at 3600rpm's (or whatever the MAF cut is). I tried disconnecting the MAF and it does the exact same thing. I've also tried another MAF with the same results.

I'm not sure how a care is supposed to react when you disconnect the TPS while it's running, but mine completely shuts of..

have you checked for any boost leaks..i know it seems obvious but yeah make sure all of your intercooler piping is tight and snug

Yep, I had that issue before when I had no piping. Just to do a quick fire up and make sure everything worked. Put all the piping back on this morning hoping it would run perfect....nope

Check the resistance on your coil-packs..dl the sr fsm and look through the diagnostic section in EL. It will tell you how to test all sensors and system actuators. Id bet its ur coilpacks tho

Well I have another set of coilpacks at the shop, I'll swap those out with these and see what happens.

Coil packs swapped out and still have the same result.

Try swapping ecu, and ignitors now. One at a time.

EDIT(after watching vid): Your maf is missed up. Check online for a pinout, and test that you have signal, ground and power going to the correct spots. Confirm that, then move to replacing the mass air flow unit.

Thank you for your input, I did just what you said.

Swapped to another 62 ecu and still had the same issue.
Swapped ignitor chips and still had the same issue.
Swapped back to another MAF sensor and still had the same issue.

However I did hook a multimeter up to the connector and the power coming through is on the center wire (black/white) and it's 14volts. The red wire is getting 1.64volts at idle and gradually will reach 3.0volts up until 2500rpm's till I hit the cut. There is nothing showing up on the green wire. There was no change or even a hiccup to the engine while running when I disconnected/reconnected the MAF. For reference this is a brand new Wiring Specialties harness.

What would be my next step?

FIXED!

Went down to the ECU connector plug and totally remembered that there was a SAFC wired into the harness...The SAFC wasn't hooked up, just the harness was. Therefor the ECU wasn't ever seeing any signal from the MAF. I'm an idiot...

haha, its okay. I knew it was a mass air flow problem.

Have fun with your sr!
