Maybe a self destruct feature would be good for this type of thing. At least the theif would be taken out.

-S14 se rims in the front and '06 350z rims in the back
Things to look for:
*Front mount is painted black on one side and other side is painted halfway
*350z rims were a bit scuffed and were spray painted black

Wow RB but no alarm? Come on, I put a alarm on my hatch before I even changed the oil let alone do my RB. It's been bad it's not getting any better so take preventive steps so you dont get your car stolen. Hope your friend can find his car in one piece.

Car was found 2 days ago in san fernando valley fully stripped. All it had was doors tailights and front 5 lug.. Everything else gone.
I guess lesson learned is if your going to spend thousands on a car u might want to invest on a alarm system.

CynCityS13, sorry for your misfortunes my friend. Lesson learned on my end, that's for sure. Scan the Sale threads on different forums and look for sellers selling off loads of parts that mirror exactly what you had on the 13. PM the sellers with questions relating to what the history of the parts' lives were and then see what type of response you get. A little detective work is in order, me thinks. I don't know if this is a waste of time or not, but damn man, hope this can offer a little insight into the matter after the fact.
P.S. Move away from California and any bordering state for that matter! 5 of the TOP 10 worst cities for car thieves in 2011 America are found in Cali! True story.

An alarm is a false sense of security , pros will disable that in seconds once they gain entry into your vehicle. 9 times out of ten the thief was an insider or was tiped off by your so called friends.( as far as what security systems you had if any). There are strick rules one must follow to prevent the theft of our vehicles and even then, they cant prevent some one desperate enough to use a tow truck or car jacking methods. So I guess all we can do is slow them down a bit in the hopes they will move on to another car.
I got my car stolen ,right in front of my driveway. I left the keys inside ,wich is something I never do.I ran inside to use bathroom (drain lizzard). Came outside and it was gone.I was followed from a tuner shop and thieves got a big break. I felt stupid, real stupid.
Anyways, I dreaded that day. Besides having an alarm, I had a FP kill switch(hidden) ,detachable steering wheel none of those methods stoped the thieves, hell I let them take it. But there was one backup method that did and it was the sole reason I was able to retrieve my precious possesion! The best auto immobilizer and it cost me less than $20 in parts from radio shack! The thieves could not help themselves from activating it!Thats whats so lovely.I had it wired to disable Voltage to ECU and I am the only one who know how to disable it.I had a push button switch labeled NOS in my ashtray/ with danger sticker next to it. They couldnt resist temptation! These idiots pushed the button and it turned engine off as they were driving , wich was great .Bad thing is they crashed into fire hydrant! I didnt care , I was just happy they didnt get the chance to strip her. I fixed major body damage to Passenger QPanel. I did the first writeup. I would of never stood a chance of getting her back without this circuit or GPS tracking .Hope this helps . Layers of security and common sense , I broke that rule but redeemed myself with a little immobilizer circuit.http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/7548/10797507mg.jpg (http://img848.imageshack.us/i/10797507mg.jpg/)
