View Full Version : 5zigen fireball VS. n-1 Dual
ok i've narrowed it down to those two. fireball has 2.5" pipe so it better for my car, it probably sounds really nice and deep, b/c of more restiction. but the dual looks a #### of alot nice, and i plan an engine swap soon where bigger piping will be better so the piping doens't matter, as long as i don't get a lot of backfiring. so if i get the dual, when i accelerate, will i have to floor it to get the nice deep sound.. or does it keep its sound nice and deep constantly, and change as i accelerate. does anyone possibly have sound clips.. i heard that someone had them form a month or two back on the boards. thanx a lot

I have the dual N1 and i have to say, BUY IT !!! I don't regret anything... except that i didn't buy it sooner..
The deep sound is amazing... it puffs-pops-puffs a bit when you decelerate hummm... Combined with an CAI, i've seen a difference with my G-tec , of around .75 sec faster (1/4) but those are only numbers calculated quickly... I'll have proof this summer at the Drag slip.
Anyways it's true that you gotta hear it.. then you gonna fall in love !!! There's 2 level of noises... one at 3-4 that is smooth and the other at 5.5-6.5 that is more agressive than anything....

Why is it that no one ever suggests the HKS systems. I have the HKS hiper system and I love sound. All the rumble and none of the buzz of the normal civic pipes.

Kikz - you got a sound clip?
if i didn't love the looks of the n-1 dual i would definatley either get and hks hiper or 5zigen fireball, but it think it does sound really nice too, and i'm willing to sacrifice for a little backfire here and there.

Well, i'm going with the Fireball. I really wanted the N1 dual, but i've seen Dyno charts, and the fireball has a definate gain.

here is my dyno with the 5Zigen Fireball compared to the HKS R2. The HKS Hiper is also well worth mentioning. I personally would buy the Fireball or Hiper before the N1 Dual. After you see the dyno you will know why =) IMO

BTW if anyone is interested in a Groupbuy for the 5Zigen Fireball S13 or S14, let me know.
Also JIC Magic Bullet Exhaust as well

Would using a universial muffler (say, a dual tipped one) with a fireball catback hurt performance?

Takumi123- Were those dyno runs taken from an 89-90 S13, or 91-93? Less than 140hp to the wheels with all those mods seems low for a DOHC.

I want one of those 5Zigen Fireballs Shawn but you must be able to beat JSPEC.COMs $500 shipped. I e-mailed you the other day but you said that the sale was over <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
