Okay, i have a 94 buick skylark for a Daily Driver. and im having a problem, when im driving on the highway and im in the 50-60 MPH range, i press on the Gas and the Car starts to Chug and acts like its no longer firing ( i think its just misfiring but i want some additional opinion ) and it stops if i mash the accelerator and it gets up past 60 or so....

So am i correct on it is prolly misfiring ( due to what im not certain but the car is about 1500 miles over due for a tuneup, i just dont have the time ) or does this sound like something else, the car is getting a tuneup on friday, but i want to see if im right before i have it in for a tuneup.

Thanks

ohhhh yeah, the car has the 3100 series 3.1L V6....

Is your check engine light on? If so it may be a CAS sensor. If not could be anything that a basic spark, fuel, air intake testing could reveal. Get a service manual and check the things mentioned. Its freakin impossible to get anything but guesses over the internet. Does it chug/delay if you step on it from a stop and then kick in just fine? I once had great fuel pressure at idle and there was no dectectable problems on the car except it would bog. I could give it full throttle and it would have normal power. I replaced my inline fuel filter and it was no more bogging... for five minutes. Turns out there was a filter sock in the tank too. replaced that and flushed the tank everything was great. Thats why you need a service manual, so you know if there are 2 fuel filters and other shit you might not think of right away.
