Guys Im trying to work out my cr before I even think about putting on my head.

The block had to be decked .46mm roughly .018". Stock OEM head gasket is 1.1mm. So I would effectively be using the equiv of a .64mm head gakset which is if you minus deck shaved against head gasket thickness.

I understand that this will leave me w an unacceptably high CR; I just want to calculate how much.

The only thing I cant find is the capacity cc of a stock SR20DET head dome. I have looked on google quite a bit, but could not find any confirmed cc specs.

If anyone knows it, please help out, thanks!

SR20DET/DE heads are 45-46.5cc depending on a few variables.
NOTE - The head cc's listed on the Wiseco piston web site are wrong. I have never in my life seen a 60cc SR20DET head - redtop, blacktop, s13, s14, s15, GTi-R, bluebird, even NA sr20de they are all 45-46.5cc. As a result Wiseco has incorrect compression ratio info on their web site for their pistons. I would like to see a 60cc SR head that has not had headwork if anyone can produce one.

I find this, seconds after posting this, bloody looking for a solid 40 mins before I posted this up. :cj:

Calculated 66cc combustion chamber on stock SR.

My CR will be 8.9:1. Think im going to roll w that.

FYI it gives you a 404page not found. I saw this before I posted, thanks though.

My CR will be roughly 8.9:1.

You could also CC the heads yourself. A piece of plexi glass with a small hole in it, and an accurate measuring device is all you would really need.

However, good find on the info... ^^
