People,
Looking for some advice from anyone who knows a little bit about these wheels. I'm not entirely sure exactly how much i'd expect to pay for a set of Regamaster wheels in the US so hoping you might be able to advise. (I'm from the UK and i'm certain that these are working out alot more expensive than over here even before shipping, considerably more!!)
Currently looking at a set of 18" Desmond Regamaster Marquis Promodas
2x (Brand New) 9.5J et18
2x (Used) 10.5J et18
The 10.5's have a little bit of curbing damage, and none of the wheels include the centre caps despite the fronts being new - no idea why.
They are up for $2800 and I need to allow for another few hundred shipping plus possibly import tax to the UK (our government rape us on tax)
Sound fair?

You must be referring to these right? Regamaster 18" set (http://jspec.com/re18set.html)
Being that they are rare sizes and one of the pairs are brand new I'd say its an ok deal, Sam (JSPECUSA) is a great guy to deal with though but if its worth it in shipping is honestly up to you, because you have to take into account that Sam had to import them into the US in the first place. Honestly though a little bit more could get you a set of brand new volks in those sizes

Thanks for all the quick replies guys.
I've done some searching on here and it does seem that all of the Regamasters which people have sold privately have gone for considerably less. Even big 18 inch sizes like 9.5J and 10.5J with centre caps present.
The link you posted there are the exact ones i'm looking at - Sam at JSPEC has replied to a couple of my emails so far and seems helpful.
I'm desperately after a set of these wheels although to be honest I really don't think the price can be justified for the wheels and most definately after i've added my fees on top to get them into the UK although I do acknowledge this isn't the sellers concern.
I've emailed him back asking him whether he would consider a sensible offer, if this is possible I will decide what i'm willing to pay for them and give it a go - if he isn't willing to take an offer then that is fair enough although I have to say i'd be very concerned he won't be selling them too fast at all!!
Again thanks for the replies, would be good to see any other opinions.
Might be worth mentioning i've read on here something about "low-balling" this isn't really an English term although I presume it means making a lower offer. I'm not here to mess anyone about with silly offers, all I asked is whether I could make a sensible offer - all it takes is for the seller to say no
Thanks :)

I like that sizing, you'll be hard pressed to find a better set anytime soon
Very overpriced, however
