CREATING HISTORY - DRIFT AT HUNGARORING

The legendary Hungarian Formula 1 circuit. The beloved place of many talented and famous champion. The circuit where drift has never been officially allowed before. The Hungarian Drift Association is inviting you to be a part of this historical event. Drifters of the world, get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

In case you have never heard of Hungaroring before, which we seriously doubt, let us give you a short overview about the race track you are about to visit:
The Hungaroring circuit is 19 km from the centre of Budapest, alongside the M3 motorway at the border of the village, Mogyoród.
The track is in a natural valley, surrounded by 50 hectares of rolling hillside. With this exceptional natural advantage, almost 80 percent of the racetrack is visible from any point. This is the reason why it is called "The Shallow Plate", it is because the spectators are watching races sitting by the side of an imaginary plate.

Circuit length 4381,08 metres
Number of turns 14
Smallest radius 20 metres
Largest radius 400 metres
Elevation difference 36 metres
Length of start-straight 788,9 metres
Greatest slope 6,2 %
Larges descent 7,0 %
Pitlane 303,8 metres
On the 26th and 27th of August the Hungarian Drift Association is holding an invitational drift race in Hungary, which is also going to be the 4th round of the official 2011 Hungarian Drift Open in PRO category.
The 26th is going to be a full day of practice while on the 27th the drift race is going to take place along with a dragracing event and many other exciting and interesting motorsport program.

That's pretty cool actually. Not that this is the place to promote an event in Hungary, but that track is way cool
