View Full Version : Golden Eagle B16a Head Studs
Hey people,
Ive been readng about these alot on the sr20-forum, but this is on FWD sr20's. Cant find much about them on here.
Anyone have these or know if the B16a studs fit the RWD sr20's?
Suppose to be a tad better than ARP and no retorqing required.
Thanx!

ARP has been making fasteners for 'go fast' setups now for ever.....Golden Eagle contracts their stuff out. With that said, use ARP

I would stick to ARP, They have been around for absolute decades and in my years of being around SR20's ive never heard anybody have a bad thing to say about them!
I guess thats because theres alot of other components around an engine that fail way before you begin to have faults with the head studs not doing there job!

While using ARP's, make sure you get the longer shank. Iirc, VW jetta studs work well.
I'm not too up to date on whether ARP had fixed the issue, but for a while their original sr20 stud design did not utilize all of the threads in the block, resulting in people pulling threads.
Ok thanx for the reply guys. Im putting my head back on next week so Im doing some research on stuff to use cause Im allways in the I-wanna-know-why mode haha.
